Don't go there. The last month she was there, my mom didn't even eat anything, and with all the snow storms, they never even called to let me know.

Nice staff but need better training. I would not recommend.

I recently took a tour at Truewood by Merrill at Bountiful and was fortunate to have Aubrey Guynn, the Community Relations Manager, be my tour guide. Besides being very knowledgeable about the community and the levels of care available to residents, [name removed] was able to answer my many questions and introduce me to some wonderful staff members. He arranged for me to visit with a number of the residents during an arts-and-crafts session. Spending time with them and listening to their stories, as well as the kindness and concern of the staff members not only for the residents but for me as well, was wonderful. Many of the rooms have lovely views and just outside the front door of Truewood you’re treated to spectacular views of the mountains. Truewood seems like a vibrant community with many amenities for its residents and a caring and dedicated staff. Thank you, [name removed], for your tour and providing me with such valuable information.

Maid service is poor, the staff in general is nice, though we had one bad experience, all we get for the extra $300 care fee is someone making sure she takes her meds, the staff is unresponsive to problems, me or my niece need to follow up, meals are OK, activities are OK, price is good compared to other places.

Truewood is a great building. [Name removed] and [name removed] do a fantastic job in helping families feel welcome and informed. I have worked with Truewood for a number of years now with home health and hospice and they have always been great to work with and treat their residents well.

As we look for assisted living facilities we made an appointment with [name removed]. He met us with such a warm friendly welcome, introducing other residents he is familiar with, and a great extensive explanation of the community. Thank you for your knowledge and warm welcoming smile.

The cleanliness is good. We picked this community because of the price and location. My loved one, had a broken cooling heated system, so they could do better with fixing things. The maintaence needs to improve. The staff and nursing staff is really good. They were very helpful, with placing my loved one at the facility. I would recommend to other families, if they need a lower price point. Everything was good for the price point.

I sometimes think the meals could be a bit better and more varied with a more home cookin' feel, but I'm not here very much. Everyone that I have met is kind and good to the residents. My Mom seems happy here and has many friends amongst the residents. There are a lot of varying degrees of care here. There seem to be several activities. Things are much better since covid is not the worry of the day.

Overall cleanliness . The housekeeping staff frequently doesn't show up on their scheduled day. When they do they sweep and mop with the same tool which is dirty from their previous cleanings. Soal scum is left in shower. Friendliness Everyone is friendly with the exception of the supervisors and administrative staff. Care Services Aides are overworked and often are staffed 1 to 100 residents. They leave because of poor supervision and misleading promises. Meals are Dining services I receive in my room. Meals are very late. Activities I will not comment. Overall only the minimum services are provided. For me, i have had great difficulty in getting responses from management. It took the GM 7 weeks to respond to a concern. Overall the place is dirty and shabby. I don 't feel the rent is fair when compared to everything. I would not recommend Truewood.

It is a really nice place. Very friendly staff and residents. For the cost, it cannot be beat. Locale is great and easy to get to. Parking is limited, but you can park in the church lot next door if needed.

They seem very friendly, and my loved one seems really happy there. I think there could be a little more communication from them, especially because I think a lot of families are new to this and don't know how things go. We don't hear much from them unless we are the ones initiating with questions.

I would highly recommend the community to others for their loved ones. The staff friendliness and cooperation along with the affordability stand out to me about the community. They are very easy to get ahold of the staff and they work with the family on answering questions or addressing any concerns if we have any. They have good food. They try to work with the residents requests. Some of the activities include exercise, walks, book club, game nights, movie nights, ice cream socials, quilting, and more for the residents to choose from.

It is a very nice community and the lady who works at the front took us around to show us three different apartment styles, and she was so friendly and knowledgeable.

It's a fantastic setting. The staff overall are lovely. The activities are good for the number of people in the facility. They've gone through a recent chef change, so the food is improving. There was a period of time where the residents were very unhappy with the food, but that's getting better. I would have no problem genuinely recommending Truewood to anyone. I've been very well pleased. Earning a 5 is pretty intense in my book, and that's not a rating I tend to give out often.

This facility is very responsive, cares for my mom - everyone is usually smiling and I have great confidence in this facility. Clean, neat, friendly, great caregivers, light and bright!

My mom has lived here a month and we are thrilled with the experience so far! She has been more active this month than all of last year. I have loved working with the staff and management. They have been the best!
