I cannot say in general that there was anything that I liked about the community but they can definitely improve on their patient care or don't take patients that need this much care. She was a full care patient many times I would walk in there her food tray setting too high for her to reach no one helping feed her things she was not supposed to eat I would have to try to help her eat because she was starving yeah I was not real pleased with this situation... The administrative staff WILL NOT do anything in a timely manner for you, especially if You're a Veteran that needs paperwork filled out. It IS affordable, but there's a reason for that. The administrative staff was so friendly at first. Once they get the resident in, that stops. The nursing staff is basically just a bunch of temps. Some are nice, some steal your things. I loved that the price was something we could do. But they kept raising it. We fought about several bills. The meals looked delicious though. It's an affordable temporary solution until you can get somewhere permanent is exactly how I would describe it..

My aunt was 91 & fell in her own apartment, broke her leg & couldn’t go back to her own apartment. I found The Ashford to take my aunt & her cat. Management from the Ashford felt like they could give my aunt the care she needed, even though she could not walk yet. I moved her to the Ashford on [date removed] & I thought it was going to be a good fit. It wasn’t. The communication is not real positive for somebody that can’t get up, walk & had 1 bed sore that continued to get worse, including get infected. I must say that if you are truly assisted living, this may be a great place for you; however not so much if you need more care & can’t get up to move around. I believe it was a perfect storm of miscommunication or no communication, Not really knowing what was going on with the care & the fact that my aunt couldn’t get up to help air out the bed sores ?? I'm conflicted, my aunt passed away [date removed]. I pray this is an exception. Serenity hospice was called in & were amazing.

My mom was there from the end of June 2023 until the end of August 2023. Cleanliness was not great. Her apartment was not deep cleaned before she moved in. Crude on the counters and floor. Room had a musty odor. Most of the staff were friendly especially before she moved in. They were supposed to get her for meals but for at least the first few days no one checked on her at all. And it was very intermittent after that. She did not enjoy the food at all. On at least 2 occasions that I know of she had fallen off the couch and laid on the floor for hours. I installed a camera in order to look in on her. Saw her laying on the floor and attempted to get a hold of someone at the facility. It was 1 am, none of the phone numbers that I'd been given worked. I ended up driving over and there was only one person working. I told her what was going on. Went up to her room and she called for assistance. My son, who lives nearby walked over and came in at the same time that 2 other employees. He said they had driven up as he was walking up. They smelled like straight weed. There was a resident with dementia that walked into her room repeatedly and stole small items from her. One time he hit her with her TV remote. They were supposed to have a podiatrist visit once every very weeks. He saw her once, she had an open sore on her toe that wasn't healing (diabetic). The very next week I received a call from the NP that's there saying that her toe looked really bad. I had made an appointment for her with her primary care doctor. The NP said she thought she should go to the ER. My mom never went back to the facility. The damage was too great, even after amputation. Not one time in the 4 weeks that my mom wasn't there did anybody call and check on my mom. Terrible experience all around. I would not recommend this facility for anyone.

The areas they could improve on would be communication between the staff members and the supervisors. That would be a good start. They also do not take in patients that are going to need extensive care. They clearly are a facility that is not equipped for this.

I toured this facility and it was ok. The entryway was very nice, but I got a different vibe from the rest of the facility. It was fairly clean and all were friendly, just a different vibe/atmosphere.
The rooms were nice and decent size. The director, charge nurse and other management stayed in their offices never holding workers accountable or hiring and training enough staff.. my loved one waited over an hour multiple times to use the bathroom.. in both of my loved ones falls they did not want to transport them to the hospital. I would not recommend unless you are completely self sufficient.

My almost 95 year old mom has been living at the Ashford for the past 5 years. The staff is caring especially [name removed], the Activities Director. She is full of positive energy, creates fun and engaging activities for the residents, gives them manicures and takes them out on the bus for sightseeing and trips to Kroger. She is especially sweet and kind to my mom, (who used to be an Activities Director for seniors right out of college). She has my mom helping out with the clothing sale and always makes sure my mom is taken care of. [name removed] has recently been promoted to Marketing Director but she still finds time to help the residents. I can always count on [name removed] to tell me how my mom is doing! She is my "sister" from another mother!

Staff is terrible "MANAGEMENT" No proper care for residents who need help. They tried to lie about wrongfull charges they keep when a love one passes away. Basically they stole his money. My father in law was treated like he was nothing and the care he received was worse than a animal receives. In my opinion they lie when caught and play the race and victim card. Management is hardly ever there and nothing is done properly or with care. I have pictures and documentation to prove it.

The personal basic care needs right now is something that is of concern and there is a lack of communication
Really liked this facility. Had lunch there and enjoyed the cooking and company. Residents seemed happy. Could do PD and keep Mini, mom's dog.

[Name removed] gave us a tour of The Ashford. My wife and I liked the atmosphere there very well. The residents were happy and interactive with both staff and other residents. We toured during the lunch time and were able to observe meal time intereactions, which were very positive. The studio rooms were spatious with a variety of floor plans. We were shown a few different styles and all were well layed out. My mother likes to read and we were pleasantly surprised to find a well-stocked library with large print books for her to select from. Althouth the meal offerings weren't as extensive as we found at Pinebrook, there was plenty of selection and options to choose from.

I have heard nothing but great things from my best friend about the care her mother receives at The Ashford. Would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a great place for assisted living. I especially love that they also accept Medicaid spend down.
