I was very surprised when I came into the Arbors. A lady named [name removed] was so warm and lovely. She was sitting at the front desk and treated us like she had known us for years. The community is nice and we love the location. My brother and I are looking for a place for our dad and this is definitely on the top of our list.

We enjoyed this community a lot and is always clean. The staff is great and we still go there for dinner occasionally. They had a lot of activities, although we did not often participate. We did play bridge with some of the other residents almost every day. One of the advantages of this community is that they are right by the park, which holds concerts in the summer. They also take the residents for off-community trips all the time. We thought The Arbors was a good value, not the cheapest but certainly not the most expensive.

Response from The Arbors
June 13, 2019Thank you for the kind words.
The Arbors is a great place, but it was not for us. We moved in and very quickly discovered that we were not ready for apartment living. We enjoyed the amenities and very quickly made friends, but I discovered that I missed having a garage, a yard, and space to set up a shop. My wife discovered that she missed gardening. Since were are still much more mobile that most of the other residents, we decided to move back to a house, and did so within two months of moving to the Arbors. We should have taken advantage of a program where one can move in temporarily to see if one is compatible.

Response from The Arbors
June 14, 2019We appreciate your comments and hope that should our community align with your needs at another time we will be able to assist. Best wishes to you.
I had a very good tour of this community. The community looked very nice. The staff was pleasant, and friendly. The only thing my mother didn't like, was that it was more modern looking than she would like. She preferred a more traditional community. Our tour went well overall.

The food is excellent. I think it would be nice if when you move in there, getting them active or having somebody contact them and invite them to participate. When we visited, we liked the overall quality of the units, the cleanliness, the food, the people, all of those things. The location was nice as well, it's in a community environment with shops and lots of places where you can walk.

Although this property is located in a very upscale area, I felt unwanted. The apartment shown to me had recently been vacated by an occupant who downsized. With other vacancies, I felt being shown a dirty apartment was a message to me that I was not wanted in that community.
