Good place, but dealing with staffing shortages which is common everywhere. It is a smaller facility with only 20 residents.

Warwick Forest is a very good facility and the people are excellent. I would recommend this facility to others. I looked at half a dozen places and Warwick Forest was clearly above average (i.e. 3) in all categories except for "value". For "value" they are a bit more expensive, but worth it.

5 for all. My mother lived with me, then independent living, then assisted living. This assisted living facility has been the most organized. Staff is very friendly. They are expensive, but I feel my mother is getting good care. She likes the meals that are prepared. They also have very clean facilities

The food service of this facility is excellent. It's not a 5 star hotel but the cafeteria and it's staff provides really good selection and food service. You can also get additional items unless on a restricted diet for medical reasons I'd have to give it a 9.5 out of ten. My experience is working with my Mom for a month and a half so far.

Fantastic entertainment/activities. Fantastic caring staff. Beautiful facilities. Keeps me well informed. Does not offer Wonder Guard for Assisted Living, only for memory care unit. Food on the Assisted Living side is NOT good. Bland with little variety. Cafeteria food at best. And I don't mean like those great Cafeterias in big hospitals. Overall, VERY HAPPY.

This facility has been a very good fit for my loved one. The staff love him and treat him so well. I visit daily or almost daily. Housekeeping is great and they're super nice. The whole facility is kept very clean. Communication with the family has been good. The food is pretty good also, though they've faced some challenges lately. When they're on restrictions due to Covid, meals are served to the residents in their rooms and sometimes they're not warm by the time they're delivered. My loved one isn't able to reheat his food by himself, but the staff usually helps and does it for him. One thing I really like about this community is that it's gated and has a good Security set up. You have to go through Security each time you enter/exit. That's comforting, especially when you have loved one's in the Memory Care unit or with Dementia. The Memory Care unit here is a very small/close unit and very nice. I would recommend this facility to family and friends.

I had a good tour with Warwick Forest. The staff were very friendly and knew all of the residents by name and seemed to be involved. They also did a great job with following up with me after the tour. The facility was clean and they allowed me to take a peek into the kitchen as well. I used to work in that business so I knew if the kitchen was clean that meant the rest of the facility would be well kept. I appreciated them letting me do that. The only downfall for us was the multiple levels. With my loved ones lack of mobility, that was a major concern. I did see that they had nursing staff on each floor though. If he were more mobile, this would have been a great fit. But unfortunately it was just not what we were looking for.
Our mother has lived at Warwick Forest Assisted Living for 6 months and we could not be happier. The care is wonderful and the team is responsive to our questions. They have handled covid so well and I have always felt informed. Previously, Mom was at another assisted living in the area that was part of a chain of assisted livings. It was not a good experience. I would recommend this community above all. You can tell it is a not for profit and that residents come first.

We had a good tour experience with Warwick Forest. The staff were friendly and helpful. For us, the facility was just way too big. It was multiple stories and we thought my loved one may get lost trying to find their way around in here.
My loved one should have never been accepted here. They did not take care of her and then she ended up in the hospital after 2 weeks of being here. I would tell others that it is assisted living with very little assistance, it is practically living in an apartment with getting meals and medications. It was a very bad experience for us. If your loved one really needs assistance, this is not the place.
Our family was able to have an in person tour, and Warwick Forest has a beautiful campus, but out of the three communities we were touring this community had the smallest apartments.
[name removed] & staff we met were very nice. Warwick Forest has a fabulous retirement-nursing-assisted living-memory care campus. Being affiliated with Riverside Hospital is a plus. It enables WF's Drs & nurses to easily convey our relative's daily condition with primary care Drs & vice versa. Extremely large bathrooms in both studio & 1-bdrm, with adequate closet space. The grounds were beautiful, & liked dining facilities on more than 1st flr. Movie theater, library, and aviary also a plus. Rooms nice size. We only toured AL, so unable to comment on memory care. Another plus, WF running promotion with discount on 1st mos rent & moving cost. However, 2-down sides: WF only has ambulatory support (resident must be able to stand & pivot); reservation fee must be paid before evaluation of my relative. Unfortunately, our family's assessment is our loved one is more non-ambulatory right now. This could change after time with therapy, and we didn't desire to invest reservation fee to see if we were correct. Otherwise, really nice future home for our loved one.

We chose this facility over others we looked into because in the time we were looking to move her, we didn't know if she was going to need to go from assisted living to memory care. If she has to ever move due to financials or declined capabilities, they would take her within the facility and relocate all of her furniture. It is also close to my brother house. When we visited here, the residents seemed more engaged than other ones we saw. The day to day staff is OUTSTANDING. The manager is having the residents Facetime the families during COVID so we are able to communicate with her. We are not getting as good of feedback as we would like from the medical staff. We are not hearing much about how the visits are going with her. They have something going on almost everyday activity wise. They are activities that have you engage the brain, not just sitting in front of the TV. The memory care unit has their own private FB page and we get to see pictures of activities that they are doing. I would recommend Warwick Forest, they do a very good job. She is safe and I do not have to worry about my mom day to day now.

We moved mom in. They left her in the same depends undergarments for 2 days before I discovered it and complained. She was not bathed for 8 days! Very disappointed and paying 8,000 a month.

My father moved into assisted living after being evaluated on his care level in November 2018. He was assessed as level 2 which I was very impressed with the evaluation process. We had several issues that needed to be ironed out in the beginning but overcame them quickly. The staff has been very attentive, knows my father’s likes and dislikes and caters to him. It is a large facility but there is always something to do if you want to be involved.

I can’t say much about the rest of Warwick Forrest having not experienced any of what it offers. But the rehab facility is a [language removed] hole. It appears from our experience that its major problem is it is part of the Riverside organization and we found that the Riverside hospital from which our patient came to Warwick Forrest is also either incompetent or just plain unconcerned. In fact the reason WHY we had to come here after 3 weeks in the hospital is because of a botched biopsy. But that is another topic for another review. The bottom line here is: Avoid this rehab facility at all costs. Find somewhere else. The people are friendly but basically incompetent. Slow responses and a general disinterest in actually doing a good job appeared to me to be the problem. For example, my mother-in-law was bed-ridden, totally dependent upon help to do just about anything. But if she had to, for example, go to the bathroom (actually the bed pan), we routinely had LONG waits for nurses to respond. THEN the one who responded would say she would need to get help and would promptly disappear for another 20 minutes or so. By then I would have to go look for another nurse and we would repeat the cycle, the usual, “I need someone to helpe with this” ..and then SHE too would disappear. Eventually, help would arrive. We had almost no interaction with the staff physicians. We saw the attending physician only ONCE - upon admission. After that, she disappeared. We saw the resident twice (in three weeks) who was, as usual, very friendly but, she too just ...disappeared. Sometimes the nurses would have to remove the oxygen cannula in order to maneuver my mother-in-law, but then they would forget to replace it until one of us showed up and did their job for them. We had to provide our own pulse/oxymeter to keep track of her vitals since this was crucial to her care, but the nurses only did this once in a while. This is important because the patient was in a state of heart failure and therefore pulse rate and oxygenation are key monitors. But we ended up doing it ourselves. We also had to buy a new clock for the room since the old one was broken and a basic orientation in time is important to a patient’s mental health. The physical therapist did not appear to actually interact with the patient or try to understand her probelms; she just seemed to be running through a routine. On the good side, the rooms are clean even if a bit old and they are not private. My mother-in-law said the food was good enough and the internet access is good. So, in light of these few good things, I have given a one-and-a-half star ratting instead of the one-star rating I would otherwise have written.

Beautiful facility & courteous staff, but I had to laugh when a reviewer wrote WF was less costly than other facilities. We wanted to move there, but it was completely unaffordable. There was a $100.00 moving fee plus $5,000 per month for a two bedroom unit.

The patient to staff ratio is not good enough and, as a result, patients are often treated like cattle. All staff could use training on working with people with dementia. They are very far behind on technology. The food in the rehab center is terrible but in assisted living is good. I hate seeing people sitting in wheelchairs in the rehab facility in front of the nurses station doing nothing and not being engaged by the staff. I once saw a nutritionist take a wheelchair patient to be weighed and she never said a word to him--not "hello" not an explanation of where they were going and what they were doing. It was so disrespectful to the patient. The activities are limited and not conducive for all of the patients. Rooms are very small. Management could use some training on customer service and issues of aging. There seems to be far more management than direct care workers. PT and OT staff are great.
