What we like the most about TerraBella Southport is the location and size. A nice community and relatively small assisted living facility. We also liked the fact the building was all one level. It made it more comfortable for our Mom.

We were able to get my grandmother into Terra Bella quickly. Staff is very friendly and helpful. They have taken the time to get to know my grandmother and family members. My grandmother enjoys being there and participating in all the activities. We are very pleased with Terra Bella and highly recommend them.

Admissions were extremely helpful. All staff were great, very welcoming and helpful. Facility was clean and neat. [name removed] is no longer at Terrabella Southport he was only there 1 month +/-. The folks were great throughout the whole process!
We have found the entire experience at Terra Bella to be quite nice. We have no complaints at all. We would absolutely 100% recommend this community to other families based on the experience we have had so far.

The Administration and staff at Terra Bella were very nice and welcoming. My mother, the only African American out of 70 residents, was there for 2 weeks. She was supposed to be there for a respite 3 month period. On the 13th day I received a call at 5 a.m. My 94 year old mother had fallen, her head was bleeding, 911 was called, an ambulance took her away. I was then called about the incident and was told I'd be called again with an update. Nearly 3 hours passed. I called. They didn't know what hospital she was taken to and no staff had ridden with her in her disoriented condition. I asked for numbers of hospitals in that city. I called around but no one had heard of her. I called Terra Bella and was told that EMS drivers often don't tell where they take a patient. "Where is my mother?" One staff member placed me on hold, called around and found that she was in a hospital in my city, about 1 hour away. I rushed to the hospital and found her, head still bleeding some. She didn't go back

My father's transition has been smooth and he likes it there. Haven't seen any issues. Staff is very friendly and helpful. Very responsive. Staff is helpful and responsive. My father has liked the majority of the meals. They have activities scheduled every day. They have several excursions monthly as. TerraBella is fairly expensive but they are in line with other facilities.

We toured TerraBella Southport during our search for a Memory Care facility for our loved one. The staff at this facility was lovely. It was a very homey, cozy and comfortable atmosphere and had beautiful grounds. Good price. I would have chosen this facility for my loved one, but it was too far from me.
It's wonderful especially staff! Have already recommended it to several people. We picked this community because of the home like atmosphere, price, location from my house & staff.

They are understaffed because they can't find anyone who wants to work! But the staff there worked very hard and helped with anything needed. Very helpful. We picked this community, because of the location, fair price, residents alert friendly, and fun activities enjoyed by many. Not wandering Alzheimer's patients everywhere. Beautiful landscaping and seasonal decorations very tastefully done! The activities director had very clever activities and holiday events as well. The residents had exercising as well as mind games to get the involved and engaged! The nursing staff was attentive and friendly just not enough for exceptional service. But that is the case everywhere these days. No one wants to work!

The cleanliness is a joke. Food is very sparse and usually not very good. Understaffed. Head nurse needs major customer /patient training. The value for the services is not equal.

My loved one seemed to like the food. We picked this community because, It was a close location, fit within our budget, and it was the best option. It was clean, the ambiance is great compared to others. It was a homey feeling. The staff interacts, and helps if they see residents wondering. They are a very helpful, and caring facillity.

The reason we did not choose TerraBella Southport when we were looking is because it got bad ratings from the state, it only had one star.
The location of Terrabella Southport is great for our family and was what drew us to look here. The staff are very cooperative and helped facilitate the transfer and made it all go smoothly. There has been no troubles at all and we would recommend them to others looking.

Everyone is very friendly here. It is not too large of a facility, which is good. The staff are able to take care of each individual person and provide 1:1 attention. They know each individual person and call them by name. I feel like my friend is safe here. They have good safety protocols as well as good Coronavirus protocols. I like the fact that I can sign him out and take him to lunch or Walmart or wherever we would like to go. They're not restrictive about that. Yet, they don't let just anybody come in and take him out. They make sure that person is authorized to do so. The activities are fantastic. There is an activity director named [name removed], and he is fantastic. He makes sure that everybody is aware of all the activities that are available. They do crafts, games, puzzles. Once a week they bake cookies in the mini kitchen off the craft room. They also have a lot of people that come in at least once a week to do a presentation, for instance a singing group or someone who plays piano. They do exercise every morning after breakfast. They have a place out back for those who have green thumb where they can plant their own flowers or cultivate their own little section of garden. They take the residents out as a group on Wednesdays to eat lunch and run errands and just get everybody out and about if they want to. They don't force anybody to do anything, but they do encourage them so they don't just sit in their room all the time. Any time I've called down there, they've taken care of anything I've asked of them. And they are good at calling me if there's a question or issue or decision I need to make. My friend absolutely loves the food. There's a good variety, and the food is of good quality and tastes good. He's happy with the portion sizes, and he looks forward to every meal. I like that there's a place where families can come in and have a private dinner or get-together with their loved one outside of their room. They have an on-site hairstylist, which is so convenient. And the cost for that is very reasonable. I like the fact that they have plenty of medical services there for the residents, and they have their own medical team. They have a physician's assistant that comes in once a week. They take care of all the medications, both ordering and administering them. Every resident has a pendant that they wear, and If they ever need any help, they just push the button. He pushed his by accident once rolling over in bed in the middle of the night, and right away they rushed down the hall to check on him to see if he was okay. So we were very pleased with their response time.
