Sunstone Village

The experience had been good. The staff is friendly and they care and are on concerns right away. We've never dined there. Due to not attending activities because they only have them in the daytime hours never in the evening. Some people that live here still work I imagine like we do so we don't attend functions even if we wanted to. The cost for what you get here is rather expensive and our rent went up slightly by [fee removed] dollars. I'm certain many of residents have moved out due to this probably being one of the biggest issues here . You could probably get a nice 2 to 3 bedroom apartment for what we pay here. And no lighting it's so dark in these homes I know ours is very dark. The charge for parking under those awnings is expensive for someone on a fixed income. And late fees are very very steep

I picked this community because of the location. I would recommend to others.

I've been a year. In that time, management personnel has changed twice. The newest team being the worst. Unskilled, unknowledgeable, and unwilling to take responsibility for any problem. In one year, we've lost several amenities and pay higher rent. They charge different prices to different people for the same apartment. This place is so poorly managed that I'm surprised it still has its doors open. I can't wait until my lease is up.

I just moved to Sunstone Village and I have lived here for almost three months and I love it! From all the daily activities, to daily work out classes I truly can’t get enough! I recently lost my husband and felt very alone. I wanted to find new friends and connect with people again and I quickly did at Sunstone! Maintenance is great, my work request are always handled quickly. Office staff is fabulous! [name removed] and her team are warm and friendly. It’s hard to finds great staff that tend to an older group of people that are kind and respectful. The staff is truly the crown jewel of Sunstone with [name removed] as the backbone.The staff truly go out of their way by bringing packages to our door daily, answering any and all needs I have in a timely manner, and always offering outstanding customer service. Five stars from me! Happy to be home finally!

I love living here! Staff is so friendly and so are all my neighbors! Happy I chose Sunstone from my home! Only complaint I have is the online portal is hard to use. They don’t allow credit cards online and I would love to pay my rent with credit for the miles. Besides that I have no worries I’m in heaven. So happy to be here!

The Sunstone property management should be ashamed of themselves in the way they take advantage and treat their residents! My mother lives here and she has told me many occasions the disrespectful treatment she has experienced from the manager. To be told they are lucky to be living there and yet, the property is not taken care of, many residents have leaky roofs, non working heaters or a/c's, broken sprinklers, broken gates, inconsistent rent payments and I could go on. These are older humans who deserve just as much, if not more, respect than everyone else. And they are wrongfully evicting people because their feelings got hurt. We are seriously thinking about contacting the local news and Better Business Bureau. Shame shame.

We love SunStone Village as a 55+ community. The residents and staff are very friendly. There are activities for the residents. All of the apartments are one story with outside entrances. The grounds are very pleasant with many mature trees. There is a very nice club house with a large multi-purpose room for a number of activities for residents. There is a big, well equipped fitness center with a number of instructor led exercise classes. A large, outdoor pool is off the back of the club house with an area for outside grilling. Shopping is very convenient with numerous stores nearby.

After years of living here the property management is finally in order. [name removed] has truly turned this property around. Staff is helpful and timely. I’m happy to be living here. I have many of friends in the community.

Great place to live. I have lived in for three years for quite a nice. Maintenance people take care of stuff right away. Love play games with my neighbor and friends once a month. Always have hot coffee and snacks.

Basically, the office staff is hired for leasing. The owners, Livingston Capital, LLC, show little concern for the safety and well-being of the residents once they have signed on the dotted line. Repairs have been stalled for months. Communication is nonexistent. While I love the layout and enjoy great neighbors I cannot in good conscience recommend to others that they entertain the notion to move here.

After four years of living here I have given up on things changing. It has been a disaster since I moved in - I was lied to, ignored and basically treated like I had alzheimers, although I still work 40 hours a week at age 71. The only good thing about living here is the apartment itself - but they do not maintain them. They have no good maintenance program, so you have to wait to get things fixed. They cannot keep help here. I have mice running around in my yard due to the dumpster situation and they nest in my storage room. Yard work is done up front first where new people can see it, but in the back we get a lick and a promise - and MICE. I went without air conditioning in 90 degree weather for two weeks because they didn't listen to me. Pool is often dirty, hot tub does not work, gates unlocked now (broken) for 3 months. No poop bags so dog poop everywhere. Rent is ridiculous for what you get. Don't send your mom here - she will be miserable.

Sunstone Village is excellent and safe. the apartments are spacious, my loved has a 1 bedroom and it's more than enough room for one person. as far as amenities, there's a stove and fridge, a storage area, and an in unit washer and dryer. my sister especially likes the friendly atmosphere and the fact that she feels secure. she also likes that they have a gym for her to go and workout as she pleases. they do have staff on site who are there everyday with the exception of Sunday. housekeeping is not offered, as this is a completely independent community. I would recommend Sunstone Village to those over 55 who want to be independent.

Well this community is nice. When we first moved in the apartment wasn't cleaned so they just had to fix that issue. Ever since then it hasn't been an issue. They are responsive to maintenance request. They have a continental breakfast. We are going to go on a trip to Dallas Soon and I'm going to join a lecture series too. The grounds are well kept up. I would recommend this community.

I chose this community because there was a 3 to 5 year wait list at other places. When I toured the community it was very nice. I haven’t moved in yet but I will be moving in this weekend! The place is beautiful and has been recently remodeled. The rooms are spacious, have hardwood floors throughout, brand new plumbing fixtures, and granite counter tops. The grounds are well maintained with a pool area. They do have a lot of social time including dance lessons and afternoon socials where they serve drinks, cookies, and cake. And they’re only at ¾ capacity. I would definitely recommend this community.

We like the care at this community. We really do like she can cook her own meals. She likes that she is able to make friends in this community. The community is very clean. This community clean and you can see that the other residents seem to be happy and like being here. We would recommend this community to other families.
