Just outside the hustle and bustle of the city, our community features peaceful porches and wonderfully landscaped gardens, just perfect for a quiet stroll. We offer personalized assisted living, memory care for those living with Alzheimer’s and other forms of dementia, and Dignity Home Care services. Our community is close to Beth Israel Hospital, Community Hospital, and Lutheran Hospital. We also have visiting medical staff, including internists, physical and occupational therapists, psychologists, audiologists, podiatrists, nurses, lab technicians, and portable radiology providers.
Our trained team members provide compassionate, individualized care. We also provide monthly wellness visits by a licensed on-staff nurse. Along with scheduled meetings by our team for residents and their families, we prioritize communication with loved ones through our family engagement app. Family members can access photos and videos, community updates, dining menus, and activity calendars to stay informed and connected.

The managers are great but staff can be surly. Value for cost is a crazy question because the cost is astronomical. She has also fallen 3 x and been to the hospital 2x. Not sure why because we get different stories from different people. And for every new pill ahead needs they tackle on a few hundred dollars a day. It's insane. However, if the family can afford it then yes we would recommend Sunrise of Mill Basin to others

Friendliness of staff - 3 (dining room staff not friendly, concierge was friendly, personal hygiene care people 1). Several accidents occurred, the last was fatal. If a 0 was available for the value, that is what we would give it.

Compared to other places, I'm happy my mom is here. But it is understaffed. My mom pays for additional care.Often, however, my mom has to wait a long time before someone shows up to help her to the bathroom or take her to the dining room.

My cousin is there, the care has been exceptional, his diabetes which was uncontrolled before he was admitted is much better, the facility is clean and the staff friendly After looking at 4 different facilities, our decision came down to 2 different Sunrise locations, the one in Mill Basin and the one in Sheepshead Bay. The one in Mill Basin just seemed like a better fit

The staff is very friendly and informative. The main reasons we chose Sunrise of Mill Basin was because it was in a quiet neighborhood and they seemed organized and helpful. They listened and tried to help with my dad.

I have be a Sunrise at Mill Basin for a few years, they think more about money then the happiness and care of residents. My wife went away for a week and she was charged for meals and other services. I talked to the director about this and was told if I don’t like it leave, I will be leaving very soon I found a much nicer place where the care about residents. Sunrise at Mill Basin is getting very run down and the food is going downhill. They do not have the staff to take care of all the residents, the 11pm to 7am shift it is very hard to find somebody to help residents.

My loved one is currently a resident at Sunrise of Mill Basin and everything has been great for her at this facility so far. The move in process was painless. The management and sales staff are excellent. The aides and caregivers are very caring and positive. The food is excellent and so are the dining sections. This is a very well run facility. Without reservation, I would recommend Sunrise of Mill Basin to others.
