I was looking for some place clean and comfortable and that was close by and affordable and this fit the bill. I know that they have a lot of activities provided for the residents, things like arts and crafts, game rooms, etc. Even when she would not go they would bring stuff to her room to try and keep her engaged, she is participating more now though which is nice. I have not eaten the food but they give her a good plate full and she does not complain. I do think it would be helpful if they could bring snacks around to the residents.... Read more

The nursing staff, orderlies and attendants were great. They were very friendly toward my father. The administration was horrible. There was no communication. If you tried to reach them, they would not get back to you for days. My father fell and got hurt and they failed to notify me. I also felt like the employees could not get their work done because of the administration.

Mom and I toured this community and it was ok. It was closer to home than some of the others. We just didn't care for the set up, not exactly what we were looking for.
Overall the staff is very friendly, but I wish that they were a little more responsive and better with communication. Sometimes I reach out and it takes them a while to get back to me. The issues I bring up are not always addressed in the correct manner. They are very caring and friendly, when I am there visiting I see them interacting well with all of the residents.

This was one of the most depressing tours we took. It looks like a converted war building and has no views. The facility itself is in an odd setting and feels dark and depressing when you walk in. I made eye contact with one of the residents and she just shook her head no at me like she was telling me not to put my loved one there. The positive about this facility is that they can help low income families and they take Medicaid to help those who need it. It was definitely not the right fit for my loved one.
We did a virtual tour with Signature and it was nice but I was not crazy about the location the facility is in.
We couldn't do it without them,. This place is wonderful. The people who run the place are great, they called us and gave us updates. They scheduled virtual visits with us due to COVID. Some activities prior to COVID: they had music on the weekend and games available for the residents. My loved one is in the Memory Care Unit. The staff makes sure theses residents are safe. They do a lot of activities to stimulate the mind. The staff are very good to my loved one, she hugs them after being out for the day with family.

It was helpful because they had a private room in the memory care area for my loved one. We wanted to keep him in his neighborhood for his friends and it was less expensive than some other communities in the area. As far as the assistance for my loved one the staff wasn't helping him with daily living activities. The community pushed for us to get a private aid and the aid was doing everything that the staff should have been doing. This was not helpful for my loved one to not have someone consistent to help him. The food was horrible. It appears the community is understaffed.

We chose this community because it was the best value to be able to address my loved ones needs. The room sizes seem to be okay. My favorite part about this facility would be their ability to make it possible for you to have quality visiting time with your loved one. They are doing virtual visits since COVID has started. I would recommend Signature Senior Living.

I was not impressed with this community. The operation does not appear to be very professional and the staffing seems to be inadequate. Additionally, the semi-private rooms are less than adequate, especially for its rate. In addition, the extra cost for service packages are very high.

Response from Signature Senior Living
January 16, 2020This review is deeply troubling to our entire team. We urge you to reach out to us at [removed] so we can work together to resolve this issue. The trust you placed in our team means the world to us, and we hope to hear from you soon.
The woman who we were supposed to meet for the tour, [name removed] , never showed up. I had 11:00 appointment and called to say we were running 15 minutes late because my father’s aide was late. At 12:00 she was still not there, so the head of maintenance gave us a tour (reluctantly, it seemed). The second star is for securing our decision that this is NOT the right place for my wonderful father. By the way, when we left at 12:30 [name removed] was still not there nor did she call to apologize or see if we had any questions.

[Name removed] was terrific and my Aunt liked the facility. Everyone was very friendly and the place was immaculate. We told Amy that we would let her know by [date removed] if Aunt [name removed] would be taking a room at Signature Senior Living.

The rooms here were also somewhat small and tight. Somewhat brighter than The Waterford but still a little gloomy and institutional looking. Not sure this would be a good fit for my mother either. Also, no parking for visitors is a major problem.

As previously mentioned the site is clean and homelike. The site is small so personal relationships established for socializing and outings. Staff are very nice, patient and knowledgeable.

My friend, and I had a pretty nice tour of this community. We spent much of our with the administrator, and she was kind. From what we saw the community looked pretty clean, and well maintained. Everyone was nice, and polite to my friend, and I. Our questions were answered, and the experience went well.

Sylvia was very patient with my understanding what this change would involve for my husband and myself. Sylvia was always chatty and cheerful to lighten the mood of our conversations but she also listened to my requests and followed them as much as possible. [Removed]

A Place for Mom has scored Signature Senior Living 2 out of 10 using our proprietary review score.
We assign review scores to give a more reliable view into senior living communities and home care agencies. Our review scores prioritize reviews that are recent — the past 24 months — because we know families need current information when choosing senior care.
Those with many recent, positive reviews receive a high review score, while providers with few recent reviews — regardless of how positive — receive a lower review score. Communities with no recent reviews will not have a review score, even if older reviews are positive. The maximum A Place for Mom review score a community can receive is 10 points.
