Sunrise of Carmichael

The staff are awesome in this community. We picked this place because they had an opening and it was also in our budget for what we were looking for. They do the best that they can and in the current environment that we are in they work hard.

I was impressed with the staff and how friendly they are. They are honest and I think they could improve communication with the families during covid. They give my loved one dignity and respect. I would recommend this community to others.

very nice memory care facility. Observed how staff dealt effectively with a depressed senior, seems to be plenty of activities, accommodations are nice. Spoke with staff (nurse, care worker, resident mgr), who seemed very knowledgeable and explained how they accommodate each resident. Only draw back is price, a little steep and probably will not be able to place our mother. They were very upfront about most cost additions.

I loved this place. This place is very beautiful and had such a welcoming feeling. Extremely clean and the residents and staff all seemed to be very happy. My only concern is the being able to afford the monthly payment until the VA benefit kicks in.

Great staff-to-resident ratio, lots of activities, very caring staff.

My husband is doing very well and is very happy living at this community. The staff are very open and we have great communication with them regarding his care. The community is kept clean and is a good healthy environment. The food was good and they do have food available 24 hours a day.

A very nice looking and homey feeling facility. Probably the most expensive that I found but well staffed, well organized and well run. One thing that I did like is that they have a good program for temporary stays, if needed. I did like the shared room set ups in that it would provide someone for the resident to talk to and it is important for some of them to know that someone is close by if needed.

My sister and I visited, we liked it due to the segregated levels of care but only felt that the entry level was comfortable for my Mom. It felt like a nursing home to us on every level except the first. We did like the fact that residents could take part in setting up tables for meals. The staff was friendly and we liked that residents could help set tables for meals. They have a friendly staff and the rooms are nicely laid out.

Every Staff member is so nice and acknowledges all who walk by. I was impressed that that included me a visitor too, The facility is always clean and the residents are clean and well tended. They emphasize very much getting to know the client as an individual and trying to recreate the same care that the client is accustomed to .

I would say it's a good value. They have a lot of activities but my mother is not and activity oriented person. Overall I would say it's a good place, it really is excellent. The only drawback is if you have someone like my mother who is not activity oriented it can be problematic. They don't force her but they want her to participate and she doesn't want to. They're taking very good care of her. She always looks neat and clean. They were able to get the swelling in her feet down. Sunrise has animals. They have two resident dogs and two resident cats and I know that my mother has a dog so I thought it would help her transition. That factor, I think, is important.
