As a 12 year resident, we have had 3 corners. The staff here is by far the last hand on with the residents. We have a lot work going on by the staff is very sympathetic to our needs. This is the best.

October 14, 2024Hello, Thank you for your review!
We moved out of there this week. Nice staff, we didn't like the meal times and wanted our usual routines back. Since the new people took over in mid-May rates went up 10% this year and previous weekly dusting and vacuuming were changed to every other week now. They are now on their fourth chef in 11 months. The food was excellent when we moved in and the quality of the food has gone down. The activity director, [name removed] is doing a really good job in organizing events and trips. [names removed] and wait staff and new janitor all do a really great job. Wish we had liked it better but my husband was very unhappy there. He wanted a kitchen again. I give it a 3.5 because of the food and the help with dusting and vacuuming being a perk that was initially part of the package and now being reduced is unacceptable to me. The good things I mentioned above is primarily why I rated it that high.

October 9, 2024Hi Mary, Thank you for your review! We’re glad to hear that you’re finding our team to be great. We understand your concerns regarding our culinary offerings, and we’re happy to report that we are in the process of implementing changes in our culinary department. We currently offer one package for our housekeeping services and would like to connect with you directly to ensure we address all your concerns appropriately. Please call our community and ask to speak with our Executive Director. Thank you!
I was reluctant to use them because I wanted to research online first and not be “sold” on a place for my mother in law. So happy I did because there was ZERO selling, only helpful information. After entering some of the info I was looking for online, I received a call and explained where I was at in the process and how I expected her to help me. She provided information about multiple places that fit my profile, including price estimates and amenities and even offered to help me book tours. My mother in law fell in love with the first place and we dealt directly with the facility to finish the process.

September 20, 2024Hi Markus, Thank you for your review! It’s wonderful to hear that your mom is happy with our community and team. We appreciate your support!
The residents are very welcoming and helpful. Activities need attention. There is only one person doing the activities, while friendly, they need more help. Food has a lot to be desired. When talking to the residents the food quality is their biggest complaint.

My loved one was briefly a resident at Holiday by Atria Pearl Crossing for a respite stay and the experience was great overall. The cleanliness and friendliness were great. The staff was great. The care services were good. I think that the meals and activities were also great, as was the value for cost. I would consider this facility if my loved one had a long term need for care.

I would tell others looking that they might want to look at the food options. My mom has to pay even if she doesn't eat. Unfortunately the food at this place is not good at all. When my mom first got there it was great and the chef would actually come out and ask the people how their food was. There was a good variety. Now it's a lot of sandwiches and the same things over and over. This is a real concern because not many of the older folks don't come down to eat like they used to. My mom actually became sick from not eating and drinking enough. Make sure it's a retirement community. I know there are some people at the crossing that should be in assisted living or nursing home. Look for something cheaper. Living where my mom does is turning out to be more expensive and doesn't leave her much money left over unless we help her.

[name removed] was amazing and sold the community. They treat the residents like family and we saw that. Staff members introduced themselves and residents liked everyone. Friendly helpful and answered questions. Felt comfortable right off the bat. Dad felt good and comfortable moving the next week. Gave us all peace of mind. My dad is super happy, everyone who works there is kind and helpful. It is so worth the money!

I would say the services and activities, meals that are provided are great for the overall cost of the place to rent. Picked this place also for the location. I would recommend to others.

I think all in all Atria Pearl Crossing is a really nice place. They try to involve my mom in things that would interest her but also give her privacy when she wants it. Everyone is very friendly.

June 22, 2023We're grateful to have you and your family part of the Holiday by Atria family. We appreciate your kind compliments and will be sure share with our team.
Poor selection of food, menu repeats every 3 weeks or sooner. Pasta and rice and never a steak served in the last 2 years. Short staffed often, the janitor has to serve food, wearing dirty clothes. Bus service very poor. Limited to mornings when the bus is not broke down. Very rarely does management try to rent a replacement to help residents. Dining Room chairs worn out, couch in atrium dirty, hasn’t been cleaned. Activities are extremely limited, no imagination by staff. Few people attend due to boring. The assistant manager is great, she goes out of her way to be helpful. I would not recommend Pearl Crossing to anyone.

June 1, 2023Jim, thanks for reaching out to share your experience. I’ve forwarded your review to our Regional Vice President and he would be happy to speak with you directly and address the concerns you’ve raised. Please email me at CustomerService@AtriaSeniorLiving.com so I can put you in touch.
My loved one was there less than [time frame removed]. Not due to anything they did just my loved one's health declined. My only complaint is I was charged for a full month's rent for [date removed]. Still waiting to get a refund for the days they charged me. When I gave the 30 day notice I was told the rent would be pro-rated for [date removed].

The living spaces at Holiday Pearl Crossing were a lot smaller than other places I looked at. The apartment was very small, with a very small kitchen. It was very basic and did not have much storage.

February 13, 2023Thank you for visiting our community and we appreciate your feedback. We enjoyed meeting you and wish you the best in finding your new home.
We had a really nice tour experience with Holiday Pearl Crossing. Unfortunately they did not do enough here - our loved one needed more care than they were going to be able to provide.

A Place for Mom has scored StoryPoint Strongsville 9.5 out of 10 using our proprietary review score.
We assign review scores to give a more reliable view into senior living communities and home care agencies. Our review scores prioritize reviews that are recent — the past 24 months — because we know families need current information when choosing senior care.
Those with many recent, positive reviews receive a high review score, while providers with few recent reviews — regardless of how positive — receive a lower review score. Communities with no recent reviews will not have a review score, even if older reviews are positive. The maximum A Place for Mom review score a community can receive is 10 points.
