Our experience with StoryPoint was very pleasant and enhanced by the friendly staff and family-type atmosphere, and the variety of indoor/outdoor venues, activities, events, outings and celebrations in which residents and their families may engage to meet their social, spiritual, physical, and mental well-being. Even more impressive; 1). the StoryPoint staff involvement and interactions with the residents, 2).the safety features and maintenance of same for the residents' protection and 3). the Ambassadors of StoryPoint (seasoned and outgoing residents who assist new ones with transitions). Unexpected, however, in keeping with Storypoint excellence was the initiation of therapeutic services during the respite and calls to assist and insure preparations for leaving were complete , including care providers and the transitioning of therapy services. I really appreciate the invitation for Mother to return should the occasion arises to do so!

StoryPoint Group is an excellent company to work for and therefore my husband & I wouldn’t want my mother-in-law [name removed] to live anywhere else. I thought Mommy was an introvert until she moved to StoryPoint Pickerington with the help of [removed] Home Care last July. This move allowed her to maintain her independence with the help of [removed] Home Care on staff 24 hours a day. Mommy is thriving in a safe and loving environment. My husband and I tell Mommy she has a more active social calendar than us. We enjoy spending time with Mommy, her neighbors and their families. Chef [name removed], [name removed] and the culinary team do an excellent job for special occasions, family celebrations and loving on her daily. Thanks for all you do every minute of every day!!! Need for better dinner choices for diabetic and people with allergies. I was having difficulty finding choices as I have an allergy to all grains, not gluten, something else. [name removed] & [name removed] worked together to improve the menu to where a diabetic has much better choices. Since diabetes is always problematic, its a real triumph for an institution to be attentive to their needs & still please everyone else.

We chose StoryPoint Pickerington because they went out of their way to get what we needed/wanted. They do everything they can to make it work for Dad. Always friendly and cheerful. Dad is very happy!

I would highly recommend them. The facility and rooms are very clean. All the staff are very friendly and helpful. She had been at another facility we were not impressed with. Storypoint was close to my house and we really liked it when we took the tour and saw how happy the residents seemed there.

My mother is living her best life. We have had pigeon problems making nests on the balconies. Have had issues with assistance with biweekly cleaning. Everyone has been personable welcoming. The staff posture is they are the guests at the facility. We have had a learning curve to fully understand the care. Once we determined what care was covered by insurance it became easier to make decisions. Love that medical is on site. My mother doesn't need to leave the building for doctor appointments nor physical therapy. The residents tend to complain about the menu since its a 4 star chef creating the menu. Most are expecting restaurant quality... which it is but its a step up. Its stretching their comfort zone. My mother loves having dinner with her friends daily. Over the top activities. Something is always on the schedule. The residents are encouraged to join in but not forced. My mother is a social butterfly and she is in her element. Rent is more than standard rent for square footage in the area. In my opinion its overpriced. If my mother wasn't participating in the activities I would be looking for another location. She loves her apartment and her new friends. She says she is at home.

Be specific about things that are important to you and/or the resident. What does an added service actually entail & what oversight is there to be sure it is being done and done correctly. The faculty/staff here are very friendly but difficult to pin down as to when a request will be fulfilled. (Ex: shower requested after noon may mean they show up at 11PM!)

StoryPoint is the best place to spend your golden years. They have great staff. Very clean, you have housekeeping, a chef that prepares tasty meals, beautiful decor, you don't even have to hang a picture, or go to the doctor in bad weather. Drug Mart is close by and StoryPoint provides transportation. They come to you. Plenty of entertainment! You have everything you would want to enjoy your golden years at StoryPoint. A satisfied tennent.

My husband’s career transferred us to Columbus, Ohio in July 2017. I am an only child and was just getting to a stressful season with my widowed 80 year old Mom. She began to called us often for tasks and concerns about her house and property. When I found Story Point(then Sycamore Retreat) I knew this would be our answer with our transition to Ohio. Mom is so much more happier, mentally healthier and has so much fun. She has her independence but, she also has security. I really believe placing her at SP actually extended her health and life. I am so thankful for the amazing staff and all of Mom’s new friends who are family!!

I have lived at StoryPoint Pickerington for [time frame removed] and I have liked it very much since the day I moved in. There is a nice variety of in house activities, and places of interest to visit e.g. The Wilde, art museum, COSI and restaurants to go to e.g. The Winery at Buckeye Lake and Our Dutchman in Plain City, Ohio.

Just love this place. Staff is so friendly and and go out of their way to be helpful. The food is out of the world and the homes are absolutly beautiful. Close to everything. I can't wait to move my parents here!

Change is always hard, but sometimes necessary. This community embraces that life challenge and excels. Between it’s Ambassadors, friendly staff, and tight knit residents, new additions are welcomed with open arms.

StoryPoint of Pickerington is a warm and inviting community where not only its staff provide close and careful attention to its residents, but the residents also extend a friendly and caring environment. There is great accountability between caregivers and attention is given to the safety and quality of the resident’s experience here!

The residents have a daily activity schedule that has a variety of things to do!! They always strive to keep the residents busy, entertained and happy!!! The atmosphere is always upbeat and I can tell the residents are genuinely happy.

I was hesitant to move, but I have found that Storypoint suits me. I have a lovely apartment with everything I need, and there are daily activities that I can choose from. There are 2 entertainments next week that I plan to attend. All that and the food is great too. I have also met a lot of great people here .

It’s been a great place for my Dad. He has his independence plus the support of the StoryPoint team. Many floor plans to choose from. Location is close to restaurants and activities. Nice that they provide transportation too.

Everyone there there is very kind and helpful. The facility and rooms are very nice and clean. My aunt likes most of the meals. The only reason the care service didn't get a 5 is I think they are short staffed.

[Name removed], the Activities Director, is the shining star that makes StoryPoint, stand out. Front desk staff is often rude or unhellpful. Unable to reach the front desk after 9:00pm. Transportation has been reduced while the cost increases 12% this past year. That’s rough for someone on a fixed income. Food is great, people (other than the evening front desk person) are friendly. Cleaning is a bonus but another facility in town does all of this and laundry for their residents…for less money. Still mom loves [name removed] and [name removed]. They have become family for her when I am not there

My experience with the Activity Staff is absolutely wonderful! They plan the fullest and most diverse array of activities for their residents on a daily basis. They plan MORE than enough fun and memory-provoking activities that each resident has TOO many choices. The staff not only plan and make sure residents get to their favorite activity, but they participate!! They are all in and truly love their residents and their quality of life is their priority!

This place has exceeded all of my expectations! From the moment we walked in, we instantly felt at home! [name removed] at the front desk is so welcoming and friendly. Everyone I come across in the community is so happy and willing to help with anything. What's even better is that they have caregivers on-site so our parents have the ability to age in place, which was a concern for us at first. Jody, the Laurus director does a great job with her team there. The culinary team is absolutely stunning! The food is incredible as we were blown away by the Easter brunch buffet. You will never be disappointed moving your loved one here!
