My suggestion to everyone is go visit the place you are going to place your loved one in. Don't take the word of a case manager or social worker! Is the staff perfect no, but who is? They care about their residents and that's important! If you bring an issue up to them they address it. There are good and bad things that can be said about all hospitals and nursing homes. Horrible place to dump a human. 5 or 6 hour waits to be changed. Food delivered late and cold constantly. I went in a few days ago and they were unable to find the person that was supposed to be taking care of my family member. Run the other way as fast as you can.

This is a horrible place...if you have any other choice, take it. They simply don’t care about the residents. People are neglected and left in filthy diapers along with food smeared all over them. They beg for help and are ignored. The buildings smell so bad that it’s hard to breathe. Staff are too busy playing on their phones, eating, taking breaks, or gossiping to do their jobs. They lack adequate supplies and overall compassion for the people they care for. They will sure tell you what you want to hear but it’s all lies. This place should be shut down!!

Simply put, do not leave your loved one here! They are consistently understaffed, poorly trained nurse assistants, and staff who just don't care! The owners have favorites who they allow to stay even though they are poor performers. If you must go there, ask them if your loved one will get the same 1:1 care that their sister who is a resident at the Maryland Heights facility gets! No matter what they tell you, they will not. Please try to find somewhere else! They are have had 3 Administrators quit in less than one year at this location. Currently they are in need of 4 or 5 Administrators for their properties. So if people don't want to work there, you surely don't want to walk away and leave your family member there!

Mom is doing fine there. The problems that we were having at the last place were that they were very understaffed and mom needed more attention than they were able to give. At Stonebridge she gets the attention she needs. They have nurses there and aids. The doors are locked. The people there are in the same mental condition that mom is which is good. it's a very big place. Each building takes care of people with different levels of dementia and care needs. The staff there seems great.
