The food has actually improved since a year ago. I think it's just hard. I mean institutional food whether a dorm, school lunch room or living facility just isn't as flavorful as homemade or restaurant. My one complaint is that, the only church services available are LDS. Also sooo many LDS meetings take place here. Having lived in UT for 30 some years, I'd forgotten how oppressive and annoying the culture is until you get use to it. It's been a very hard adjustment for my mom.... Read more

We’ve had a great experience at Spring Gardens. Our loved one has felt welcome and comfortable in new surroundings at a difficult time. He enjoys his meals in the dining room. The staff are friendly, cheerful, and kind to him.

The facility itself is very open and spacious. Very inviting! The staff is amazing and so so friendly. They all get to know the residents in a first name basis. It's awesome! The staff are seriously the best!

We are not sure on the activities, but as for the value for cost that is so far so good. Spring Gardens Draper community really has a good atmosphere . The building is beautiful but the employees are all so great and that's what really counts.

January 4, 2024Thank you for your review! We appreciate having the opportunity to care for your loved one.
My loved one is currently a resident at Spring Gardens Draper. The move in process went pretty smooth. The staff is very friendly, seem very good at remembering names and are very polite and friendly. The food is good, but not excellent. Also, there is an extreme LDS vibe at this facility. I know it's Utah, but it would be nice if there were some non-denominational services or if they invited someone besides LDS church to provide some services. They might try to say they are non-denominational, but they are not. The facility is trying hard to improve areas that they are weak in. The laundry service leaves a lot to be desired. The nursing staff seems very kind, but there are a lot of mix ups in time schedules. My main reason for choosing this facility was the size of the rooms, nice size fridge and the clean newness of the facility. My loved one is use to new surroundings and this place has a friendly feeling when you enter and everyone is very kind. A Resident Committee has recently formed to address grievances and I think it is helpful to the residents, as well as to the facility. They are very accommodating, but it just doesn't seem to be a "smooth running ship" yet. However, I believe that it will get there.

October 27, 2023Thank you for your kind words! We appreciate it!
We recently had an issue with meds being uploaded and dispensed - I'm hoping we have it figured out. Otherwise we have really been happy with this facility for my mom. Based on the experience we have had so far with Spring Gardens Draper we would recommend this community to other families.

August 25, 2023Thank you for your review. We appreciate the opportunity to care for your mom and love having her as a part of our Spring Gardens family!
My parents were both in this community less than a month. My Dad passed away, we left the facility that night and never returned. This facility charged my Mom the single occupancy rate after my Dad passed away. She never set foot in that room again. In the planning of the funeral etc we as a family made great strides to clear everything from the room. My Mom was taken advantage of in being charged the higher rate that my Dad would have been paying if he lived. There was so much contention between the kitchen staff and the CNAs that many times my parents were not well cared for. I would not recommend this place to any of my family, friends or loved ones. We are glad that this is all behind us now and that my Mom and family can mourn our Dad and continue on in peace and honor his memory.

This is a nice looking building but feels hallow and empty hotel inside. There are very few residents for the size of the building, and it lacks that warm, inviting and community feeling. The corporate level is now running this building, so it lacks the home like qualities that are so necessary and personal touches that are important. Unfortunately they lack consistency with their employees , which trickles down to instability and unfamiliarity for the residents living there. Honestly I wouldn’t send my loved one here, for these reasons and the fact that it seems that the bottom dollar is the priority here, not the residents.

May 1, 2023Hi Tammy - we appreciate the feedback. Since you wrote this review, we actually hired a new member of our team named Sandie and she is FANTASTIC at warming up the building and the difference has been wonderful. We've also gained quite a few residents since February. We hope you get a chance to come by and visit again, you're always welcome!
Spring Gardens of Draper is the most beautiful, welcoming Assisted Living I have ever visited. The staff are kind, patient, and caring to the residents and their families. They have many wonderful daily activities that help the residents cultivate friendships and develop talents. Spring Gardens also opens their doors to the local community for parties, concerts, and craft fairs. They have so much fun. I wish my dad could have lived here when he was in need of assisted living. My family and I love to volunteer at Spring Gardens of Draper. There is a wonderful feeling here. It feels like home.

A Place for Mom has scored Spring Gardens Draper 9.4 out of 10 using our proprietary review score.
We assign review scores to give a more reliable view into senior living communities and home care agencies. Our review scores prioritize reviews that are recent — the past 24 months — because we know families need current information when choosing senior care.
Those with many recent, positive reviews receive a high review score, while providers with few recent reviews — regardless of how positive — receive a lower review score. Communities with no recent reviews will not have a review score, even if older reviews are positive. The maximum A Place for Mom review score a community can receive is 10 points.
