Warning.. lack of communication, unanswered phone calls, missing messages and ring around the rosie responsible pushing game is what this company is all about. I wouldn't board my dog here let alone a lived one for that reason. My mother had wonderful nurses and was fed well but the higher ups are severely lacking in communication. They fall all over you until you sign the paperwork and then...poof, they disappear!
Had we been involved with signing the contract, we would have discouraged my father in law from moving into Jenner’s Pond. The contract is rather vague regarding the return of the entrance fee after the resident has passed away. Residents are treated as renters and they do not own the apartment. However, per the contract, you do not receive a refund of the entrance payment until they receive a replacement entrance payment. Translation: you do not receive the refund until they re-lease the apartment. You do not have ANY control over this. The part that is vague – it is our assumption that they are still amortizing the entrance payment and will do so up until the 44 months at which point they will return 50% of it to the estate. So, there is NO motivation for them to show or re-lease the apartment.

I went to visit my friend who was rehabbing awhile back at Jenner's Pond. She came from the hospital a couple days earlier. The room she was in was so cold and the thermostat didn't work. When we spoke to the Director of Nursing about it. Her name is [Name removed] . She was very rude. She told us "You get what you paid for". I also spoke with another lady who was visiting her neighbor. She told me that her neighbor had been left on the toilet in the shower room by a caregiver. Her neighbor fell and was on the ground for hours. And the caregiver forgot and went home. Months later that same girl who left her on the toilet was still working there. Once again the Director of Nursing, [Name removed] did nothing.

I haven't heard great things about Jenner's Pond and it's not the one we chose. It wasn't very impressive, and their reputation, is well known. The medical care, the way they handle medications. They aren't nurses, but nurses assistants instead. There are mix ups all the time.

Our loved one was a patient for a short term rehab stay and while there were a few wonderful nurses who were very caring, we found most of the CNA's to be either inattentive or unprofessional. They had many alarms and chair "clips" to supposedly keep patients safe, but our loved one had four falls within one week . It is a clean facility and my MIL's room was nice and big and bright. The building attached to it where long term residents live ,was beautiful and appealing, but the health care center was rather bland and depressing. Therapy seems to be done in small "circles" or groups [removed]. I think this could be a decent facility with more oversight, thought and care put into it. My loved one was afraid we would send her back there and reported to the hospital staff that she was generally uncomfortable and afraid there. They helped us in making sure she did not have to return.

There was no interaction other than the half hour to forty five minute physical therapy session every day or every other day. The rehabilition worked with her more than other places, but that was it. There was nobody to talk to her and see how she was going. There seemed to be a lot of different shifts, you didn't have the same caregivers. There was no activity or interaction.
