We have one suggestion, and that is for new residents sit at a designated table at the beginning so the resident doesn't feel so ostracized and older residents can notice them and then meet each that way. They should teach men how to do laundry, it's a wonder the machines don't tear up more than they do! She loves the activities, library, beauty shop, and staff!! Oh yes, I would recommend it, I would live there happily. Again a great staff, and they have a piano any one can play. I enjoyed the non-denominational church too. Good food, especially the Meatloaf!!... Read more

When we were first moving in communication was not very good. We had to ask for meetings with them and had no orientation or anything like that. Since then, they have improved on communication especially about the vaccine and covid related issues. We are very pleased with her apartment, it is very nice size. My mom does not like the food they serve at all, she said she cannot even tell what it is sometimes. Overall, I would recommend the facility with some reservations.

The Terrace at Mountain Creek is a good place. We had no problems. The room sizes and layout of the community are good. They could use more staff. Overall it was a positive experience. I would recommend them to others.

[Name removed] was very helpful The facility with their updates was absolutely beautiful. We were able to get my mother-in-law a beautiful apartment and care we need for her within our budget. We look forward to moving her in in September. We are hoping the level of care and service are equal to the upgrades. Thank you [name removed] for your help.

I agree with the others about this place being scary and unsafe. They did not give my father his medicine which resulted in hospitalization, heart issues and metal issues. The rooms were always dirty. Never enough staff to take of the residents. Moved my parents out and into a nicer, cleaner and better staffed facility. Praying for the ones still having to stay there.

Absolutely awful. Very dangerous. Residents are neglected and do not get the services they pay for. Extremely understaffed. Residents don’t get showers or meds on a regular basis. They care more about taking care of their building with all the new upgrades than caring for their residents. Very sad.

This place should be shut down. They make so many medication errors on a daily basis I am surprised people have not died. I know that at least one resident went to the hospital recently because he was not medicated properly. He had to stay 2 days and then they still did not give him his meds the morning after he returned. They don't have enough staff to take care of residents. Rooms are not cleaned. The management hides behind closed doors and will not respond to complaints. Emails, phone calls and visits all go unanswered. Trying to contact corporate to complain to them gets you know where too. Don't believe the promises they make when you visit. They are in a dire situation and need to fill rooms.

Recently moved our mother out of there after just four months. Received none of the services promised, scary medication errors, constant staff upheaval, horrible management. Dangerous. Look elsewhere.

This is such a terrible community I don’t know where to begin. They don’t have regular nursing staff. The director of nursing is so nasty they can’t keep anyone. They use temp nurses who do not get any training and are there sometimes for only a day. Then when mistakes are made they blame them. People are being medicated incorrectly and at times given the wrong medications. They are so short staffed that meds are given late routinely and residents are not getting the assistance they deserve and are paying for. They mess up payroll so often they make up the difference by paying people cash. They don’t invoice the residents regularly and many people owe many months of rent but can’t get a bill even after repeated requests. The rooms are filthy. It is a frightening place to leave a loved one. They have a 120 bed facility and only approximately 80 residents. That occupancy is unheard of and tells a lot!

Our mother moved to mid-memory care assisted living at the Terrace, and as expected, it was a hard adjustment on us all. The one part of this life-changing move that our mother could always agree on (even though she has large memory lapses) is that the staff at the Terrace are all very nice, and the food is good in the clean "restaurant." Her apartment is cozy, and after two months, she is calling it "homey."

Medication errors. May 2019. They cannot keep nursing staff. They use untrained agency nurses who do not know the residents. Lots of potentially dangerous medication errors. Extremely under staffed in every department. Only dirtiest rooms are cleaned. All staff including management are serving in the dining room because they can’t keep staff there either. Food is horrible. Staff is not trained to deal with dementia. Ra’s are also short staffed and take too long to get to residents to bring to meals or assist to the bathroom. Ra’s are also very impersonal and many act as though the residents are a bother to them. Overall poor treatment of staff reflects poorly on residents. Activities often don’t happen. Residents spend most of their time in their rooms unless eating. There are very few areas for people to get together to socialize. The only outside areas to sit are inaccessible to wheelchairs or too dirty to sit on. Doors on bathroom apartments need to be removed to allow for wheechairs to get through the door. If there were ever a fire there would be no way for the wheelchair bound residents on the upper floors to get out of the building. Linens are not washed weekly as promised. They have three times as many people working on the building renovations right now than assisting residents. We moved our loved one out. Terrible place!

The Terrace is currently going through some extreme building upgrades and management changes. There are some very good people working there but they are severely understaffed, especially in the nursing/aide department. It looks like they are moving in the right direction to improve the facility, however, they are experiencing some definite growing pains at the moment.

The mid-memory care unit seemed to be exactly what my mother needs-it's more care than assisted living but gives a more suitable peer group for the condition my mother is in now than in the secure memory care unit. The place is beautiful inside and out, the staff was very friendly and appeared to enjoy their jobs, the amenities included in the price are outstanding, and the tour was very informative. I saw two groups of residents at their meal time, and they seemed to be enjoying themselves, and the food looked very good. This is our first choice.

Whether you are looking for long term care or need immediate care and attention, this is definitely the place of choice! We had both parents here for an extended period of time and the entire staff were caring, knowledgeable, and took in every single person there as their "family". We continued through their care through multiple levels of need and the care could not be beat! Everyone from the administrative staff, to nursing head, to medical assistants, to the kitchen staff where WONDERFUL!!! Please go and check them out for yourself, we believe you will receive the same great treatment and care that our parents and we received.

This is a really great community, and my father is doing great since his move here. I know he is safe, and in good hands. We took him back home to gather some things to take back to the community. After he got some shirts, and said they we might as well get rid of everything. He loves this community, and is really enjoying his time here. I would highly recommend this community, it is working out well for us.

We liked this community when we visited. The person that took us on tour was friendly. This community seems to offer a lot of activities and they have a fitness center. This community did not have any openings when we visited.

Still in the running, but number three at this time. The limited outdoor space is a negative, and we prefer the single story facilities over the multi-story building. Amenities seem adequate and the residents appeared to be active and engaged. Food services appear to be very good.

I could tell during my tour of this community that our tour guide was knowledgeable and really cared about the residents of the community. Our guide introduced us to several of the caregivers who were polite and sweet. They were busily caring for the patients and showed interest in their well being. The building seemed cleaner than some we visited; however, even in the midst of refurbishing it still is an older, somewhat depressing building. It's worth a look because I think the care is there.

We very pleased with my mother in laws move to this community. She is doing well, and everything is working out great. The community is very clean, and they have an excellent staff here. This is a community I would recommend. We are satisfied with all they have done for us.

The entire staff are friendly, accommodating and they have gotten to know my father in law and the family by name. The community is clean, however we have had some minor issues with the cleaning of his room. They are receptive when we bring this to their attention. He likes the bus trips they offer. He enjoys the food and they offer a good variety of choices.
