Serenity Care Mid Valley

The facility was recently remodeled in the last year at Serenity Care Mid Valley. The staff was professional and caring to and for the residents. I do feel like they could have gotten more, if not all residents involved in the activities.

Though the renovations are lovely to the eye the services are not at all what is presented to you . Every time I have visited my friend of many year's, there was never any activities going on, The residents are always sitting there with their heads down with nothing to do.The activities are listed but never going on. Also Most of the staff is pleasant, but I found the management poor and the nurse arrogant. I don’t recommend this facility

I can not say enough about the wonderful staff! Their compassion and genuine, loving care means the world to my mom and to me. Knowing my mother has such wonderful caring people around her everyday is extremely comforting. They have truly created a family atmosphere in all they do. Each staff member work very hard at and take great pride in their jobs, and their dedication does not go unnoticed. I am so very grateful my mother is surrounded by such thoughtful, kind, and warm-hearted individuals. The renovations to the facility are beautiful. There are always fun and engaging activities planned, the food is very good, and the facility is always very clean and well kept. I am truly thankful to everyone at Serenity Care Mid Valley for all they do to create such a welcoming, loving environment for my mother.

Our family just likes everything about Serenity Care Mid Valley. We have had a great overall experience with the community - it is newly remodeled and clean. The staff members working there are great.

On [date removed], my mother fell in her bathroom at Serentiy Care Mid Valley. She was not discovered by staff until 7am the next morning. Residents are supposed to be checked every two hours, and my mother was supposed to be checked hourly due to fall risk. Prior to this incident, I had mentioned to the facility nurse that I did not believe the checks were occurring during the overnights. She told me that she would make sure it was being done. Obviously, she did not. It also does not seem she was held accountable, as it was ultimately her responsibility, and she retained her position with the facility. No one from the corporate office ever contacted us or showed any compassion. Aside from this incident, my mother enjoyed living at this facility and many of the aides/med techs were great. I held off on writing this review until the incident was posted on the PA DHS violation website, as to corroborate my story.

My tour of this community went well. It is a nice place with kind people. The community looked nice and very well maintained.
