Savannah Grand of Amelia Island

Floors are extremely dirty, terrible smell throughout the entire building especially memory care. Staff isn’t properly trained, residents falling multiple times on one shift because staff doesn’t care to check on them, and upper management doesn’t care to enforce rules to their employees. So they all just get a check for showing up! I literally have to go in and take care of my mother myself. What is the point of me paying the ridiculous amount I do for me to provide everything plus the CARE! Constant lies from upper staff we’ll get this fix, we are on it, we will do better next time. No improvement! ED makes staff review the place so none of these reviews are actual and if they are bad reviews she tells her staff to report it until Google takes it off so all the honest reviews aren’t here. Find better for your mom or dad please! People that will actually care for their wellbeing and not management or staff that sits on their phones all day, and rarely engages with residents.

I would say 5 for all. We wished she could have stayed longer but she needed different care. We chose Savannah Grand of Amelia Island because the location was best and our family lived close by. And cost for what you received was fair and reasonable. The attention and compassion from staff was noticed and appreciated. The compassion and treatment to me is key. Leaving them you want to know they will be respected, cared for in a safe and loving way.

[name removed] [name removed] and [name removed] come up with the most engaging, entertaining, and fun activities I have ever seen at ANY community I ever been too! They’re so creative and you can tell how much the residents enjoy these ladies just by the smiles on their faces when one of these ladies grace a room! Keep up the good work and well deserved achievement!

Savannah Grand has the best food and service!

Savannah Grand of Amelia Island is a block away from the beach! The food is amazing, and not just amazing for an Assisted Living, but amazing all together. The flavors are wonderful. The staff is by far the most caring and sweet staff I have ever met. I love this place so much!!

We have been extremely satisfied with Savannah Grand. I feel that the staff members here really care about her and her safety and overall well-being. Everything has just worked out great and I would recommend them highly to anyone, it is an excellent facility.

The staff they have do a good job, there are just short staffed, currently. I would recommend the community to others for their loved ones. It seems that the staff try and engage the residents in all types of activities.

We recently ran into a problem with the community, our loved one had to be taken to the hospital but when we called the community multiple times there was no one there to answer. However, up until that point we have been very happy.

The facility did have good room sizes. We chose this facility because of the proximity to the family and it was the nicest. The food was not the best, it wasn't imaginative and could have been better. I do understand at the senior communities they do not add salt due to diet restrictions.

We like the care the care here for my mom. The community is clean and the staff is caring to her needs. We like the meals of the variety of choices that are served. They do have activities that are offered for the residents to participate. We would recommend this community for the good care.

So far everything is working out very well for my sister, and her husband since their move to this community. It is a good, safe community, and they are pleased with their move to this community. It is a nice community, and it has worked out well for my family. This is a community I would recommend to my family, and friends.

I have a beautiful and bright room with a patio that I love. I get three carefully planned meals, an afternoon snack, 24 hour care, someone brings me my medications & helps me with my showers...Dr [Removed] is here if I need to see him. Dr. [Removed] comes to do our toenails. We play BINGO, Trivia, Poker, Scrabble, Crafts, Painting and so much more. We have fun parties with our families and friends. It takes some getting used to not being in your own home anymore, but there's not other place I'd rather be.

My mother has been a resident of Savannah Grand since 2007. She has experienced the most superb, attentive and thoroughly professional care in every sense of the word "caring". Both she and I have truly considered this her home since the day she moved in. As the son of a now 99 year old mother I can't imagine any place other than Savannah Grand where she could receive the exceptional level of care and loving attention provided by every member of the SG staff. Savannah Grand of Amelia Island has my strongest recommendation as the residence where your loved ones will receive the care they deserve and you so strongly desire for them.
