Mom was active when she started there, and walked everywhere unassisted other than keeping her out of trouble. She was in memory care and I realize they didn't want her falling, but there was little to no activity in her daily routine She was bound to a wheelchair before too long. She really had no physical activity. I think they did the best they could with the staff provided. She was always clean and looked healthy whenever I would visit. It's a difficult situation, and I was never worried that she wasn't being cared for properly. I just think it would be nice if they engaged them more physically. It contributes to better quality of life. Everyone there I feel did their job well, and communication was always very good.

Staff took very good care of my father during his stay here. Staff was very attentive to his needs and were always in communication with my family. My father was always a person who kept to himself but staff was even able to get him to activities & engaging with other residents.

Sometimes meals are hard to chew, especially fruit and vegetables. Sometimes people will walk past my mother in law and not help her to get back to room.

What our family likes the most about the Saucon Valley Manor is the overall general concern and care shown towards the residents. Based on the experience we have had so far, we would recommend them to other families who may need a place for their loved ones.

A Place for Mom has scored Saucon Valley Manor 9.5 out of 10 using our proprietary review score.
We assign review scores to give a more reliable view into senior living communities and home care agencies. Our review scores prioritize reviews that are recent — the past 24 months — because we know families need current information when choosing senior care.
Those with many recent, positive reviews receive a high review score, while providers with few recent reviews — regardless of how positive — receive a lower review score. Communities with no recent reviews will not have a review score, even if older reviews are positive. The maximum A Place for Mom review score a community can receive is 10 points.
