Overall a good experience

We chose Royal Park because a fellow nurse I knew did visits here and she was impressed with them. I did also like the fact that if care increases, they will still be able to care for him. He has a studio and is is a good size for what he needs. With covid they have not had as many activities provided as they normally do. His main complaint has been the food, he said it is a good menu but a lot of residents do not like the taste and said it is bland. The services have been affected due to some staffing shortages. The caregivers are extremely friendly and helpful. He has improved since being here. Overall, I would recommend them to others looking.

Don't let the exterior look fool you. The inside is full of love and care.

The staff and their care services are a five plus. They keep us informed about what is going on with our loved one. On the financial side, they explained everything very thoroughly and took the time to make sure we understood what was in the future for our loved one.

Our experience has been wonderful so far, it truly is a community atmosphere. It is smaller which we like and much nicer then the bigger communities. We would recommend Royal Park Retirement Center to others.

We found it a very down to earth facility, warm and friendly

Our loved one is extremely happy with the food, he absolutely loves it. They are in the process of bringing back the activities. Our only issue we are having is with the billing department and communication, but overall we do think the value for cost is reasonable. From what we have observed they treat our loved one very well, and he is well liked there. He feels very safe and comfortable there.

Older, and more spread out, facility

I took a tour here. The facility looks, and feels, old. The hallways are narrow and have a general older feeling to them. Everybody was nice, though, and seemed to be interacting with the residents in a friendly manner. It’s a larger multi-story facility and everything is on the first floor; the walk down the hallways to the first floor could be potentially long because the building is spread out. Our feeling was that it would be easier to let yourself be isolated. However, they did offer the ability to roll over to Medicaid if a resident were to run out of money while living there.

Our brothers new home

We chose this place because of location and services and cleanliness, but also because of the friendly staff. I was pleased that there were no odors, and that the people there looked very well taken care of. The dining hall is very nice, with table linens and service like a nice restaurant. The living room is very nice and people enjoy gathering there. We chose a 'studio apartment' for our brother. ( think standard motel room) He is in the assisted living section. The room had brand new carpet, very large windows and a pleasant color scheme. We furnished it, as is expected, added a touch of home with matching recliners and a twin size bed to give him more living space. He enjoys it, and we were worried, so worried, that he wouldn't! They offer a lot of fun activities, outings, movies and parties and even a wood shop for the men. The price is very reasonable and the nursing staff is great! We highly suggest you check it out.
