Retirement Suites by the Lake

I am very surprised at a top-notch retirement having not cared for my Mom. I had given them all the details of my mother's shrimp allergy instead when Fish was cooked they refused to give her this dish as a part of her food. When this retirement home wanted to make money they should have included all foods as per my Mums requirements. Why do children leave their parents in the hands of these retirement home they are pricey, make money the easy way and do not bother about Seniors My mother's age will not allow her to eat the whole dish. They gave her no substitute for this. I have written a complaint about this retirement home and will put a 0 review. Terrible and should not be allowed to operate. I think this gives MOM a place a bad taste and they should not suggest this retirement home to any Seniors

Our mother became a resident in February 2018. We are very pleased with the care and the atmosphere she is now in. She has companions her own age, activities and she is in a safe environment with on-site 24 hour nursing if needed. I highly recommend Retirement Suites by the Lake if you are looking for independent living accommodations for yourself or a cherished family member.

Very welcoming environment for my mom. When she first moved in they made sure to keep a watch on her to make the transition smooth and enjoyable. She loves the food, the activities and the friendliness of all staff.

Well maintained and appealing facility. Dining facilities and common areas spacious and appealing. Good and probably the most varied list of activities I've seen available to residents. 1 Bedroom layouts are not the best. Chopped up with a lot of hallway space vs living space but well appointed and modern. Do not allow any cooking ability in rooms at all for safety but restrictive for residents.

Lovely place to live with professional and caring staff. Well maintained smaller facility that is intimate and not institutional. Great management and high value. We are so glad to have joined this community.

I am very pleased with this home all the stress has been taken away. The staff are wonderful been very kind to my mom. They have all the right systems in place to ensure things run smooth. The food is great!!! I can not thank them enough [Removed]

Walking into Retirement Villas by the Lake you get the impression of light, comfort and coziness. The residents seem happy and active. The sales manager was extremely friendly and helpful. The food is good, and the rooms are comfortable, and the staff is very helpful.

Wow is all I can say about this complex, quite unique with each apartment a different lay out. Intimidating to some elderly due to high ceilings but once overcome by this, extremely tasteful and well renovated, keeping to the old style of the building. Smaller complex of about 85 units and so not for those who like plenty of people around. Food menu was for every type of taste. I liked their own in house "Bus" service. [Removed] was a great show master.

Our contact was Gillian and she could not have been more helpful listening to my sisters needs. We took my sister to three other retirement homes and Retirement Suites by the Lake far surpassed the others. The feeling of energy when you enter the building with always a friendly smile from all the staff. Being that customer service is a thing of the past it reinstates my faith with all the staff at Retirement Suites by the Lake. I look forward to all my visits to see my sister. Keep it up!

We have been very pleased. It's clean and the staff is friendly. There have been some changes in the staff, and that kind of put a damper on activities for a while, but that seems to have picked up now, and I see lots of activities going on now. The residents seem very happy with the food. I loved the individual suites, the size and the brightness of it. I liked the staff. I love that you could see the lake. It seemed more like an apartment than a home, and I liked the feel of it, we knew this was it right when we walked in.

Liked the feel of the place, great being near the lake. Meal was good, lots of choice. preference to medium studio, with own door to garden. draw backs: small fridge, not close walking distance to shops.
