Before choosing their other home in Milton we toured this home first. It is lovely and clean. They just renovated and redecorated both homes and they Are nice! Management and staff seem very sincere and knowledgeable. The owner clearly knows her stuff and we feel really comfortable that mom will be in good hands. We chose the Milton home because it is a little closer to where we live.

Be very careful!!!! The "process" to get medical attention to actually prevent a fatal illness like a UTI is an issue with a facility like this. My mother died in 5 days after she collapsed from septic shock at this facility. The care giver noticed signs of the UTI on Wednesday and didn't call her family to get medication and she was taken to Northside Regional Saturday evening and hours later admitted to the CCU, and died the next Thursday, 4/4/14 at 10:40 am. One of the owners said..... "we were following the appropriate process". And the same caring owner also was very upset when we picked up our mothers things, the day before she took her last breath, saying "we were rude for not giving them advanced notice that we were moving our mother out, coming during lunch was very disruptive." Don't be fooled by the "act" of great concern for your loved one. We were and our mother died as a result of their lack of urgency, and no notification to the family, for an illness (left Unattended) that is fatal within 72 hours. Elder care 101. Her children and grandchildren weap at her unnecessary and preventable death. It only would have taken one phone call.

It is super super clean, the staff is wonderful, they're great. We liked them because of the activities, they did exercises, they did a lot of stuff, it was just an overall pleasant place. The people here are not that far into their dementia and they're more socialized so they can do more.

Owner was a really concerned care provider. Wanted to meet mom's needs. The smaller caring environment might be the right choice for her.
