None of the staff is rude or mean. Some are very friendly and Mom likes them. Some are mote average, but still fine. The everyday care is good. Sometimes it's hard to set up things like a haircut or podiatry. It's very expensive. But they handle everything with the expertise I don't have, have pleasant surroundings, and Mom is happy there. All 5 stars. They do seem to deliver what they promise, and Mom has been doing fine there. I don't worry between visits that she's neglected or mistreated at all.

Response from Prestige Assisted Living at Sierra Vista
December 13, 2023Hi Artie, thanks for much for this review! We're so glad your mom is enjoying it here, we love having her as part of the community. Please let us know if we can be of further assistance!
If you have a medical condition that prevents you from wearing a mask, they will not allow you to visit residents. They require a COVID test at the main reception but even with a negative test result you are denied entry.
This community is good as anything in town and works out for my loved one. Some of the staff are really good and some of them are not. My parents wanted to stay in the room and I felt like they did not do a good job of encouraging the residents to come out. From what I seen there were games, and movies and more but nothing outside of the community and very stimulating for the residents to do. I just think that they could have more activities.

Response from Prestige Assisted Living at Sierra Vista
April 1, 2022Hi there, thank you for the feedback. We do have a full events calendar, and our van has been repaired and will allow us to take our residents to more events and activities out in the community. We’d be happy to discuss your concerns – please feel free to reach out to us directly.
This seems to be a pretty decent place for my friend. I would recommend my family go here if they had to. The staff seem to really care and it is a smaller community.

I thought that the landscaping looks beautiful and the dining room looked so lively when I visited with my mother. The wood flooring in the room I toured looked fabulous.
The staff is very friendly. Since I live out of state, I haven't seen much of the facility. But I'm my family member's POA, and they've stayed in close contact with me and asked for my input regarding decisions. When I have questions or concerns, they are very upfront with me.

I have lived at Prestige for about 2 years and I would say that this isn't just the best assisted living community in Sierra Vista, but the surrounding areas as well. Everything that they do is for the residents and the staff and caregivers are first class!

I wouldn't recommend Prestige Assisted Living. There is a lack of follow through, and they don't do what they say they will do. I don't feel they deliver on what they said they would. My loved ones were here for a short amount of time.

We chose Prestige Assisted Living because it was physically closest to us and we have lots of mutual friends who are here. They are very compassionate about taking care of each of the residents and it has been a great experience so far. They have us fill out menus in the morning and what they do serve is well done, their salads are to die for. I would recommend to others looking.

We took our loved one out because we did not think she was receiving good care. We picked her up one day to go to the doctor and we found a 2-inch thick gash on her leg. She also was very hard of hearing so we bought ear plugs for her to plug into the TV so she could hear. When we went to the community one day, we realized the ear plugs were in the medicine cabinet. They were never given to our loved one.

Prestige Assisted Living is a nice facility, it is a good place. The rooms are adequate. The food would be about a three out of five, it could be better. We would recommend this community to a family or friend.

We have removed our mother from Prestige. When I would notify them that I was picking her up and ask for her wheelchair, they would never have it. We would have to wait while they went back to her room and got it. This happened at least 3x. They complained she turned the TV up too loud. We purchased bluetooth headphones. When we took her out, they had never installed them (over a month later) they were in the medication room. We couldn't due to coronavirus. When I took her to therapy and she was given exercises to do, they couldn't even remind her to do them 2x/day. I had to call her and walk her thru them. Final straw was taking her to a Dr. appt. She had a wound on her leg about 2" long, probably from scratching. Obviously no one had noticed and it was open and red. When we took her back I brought some Cortisone cream. They couldn't even put OTC on without a Dr. approval. I told them if they didn't have it by 5 that day I was coming in to do it before infection set in. Sorry we did this at least in the time of Covid. Staff seemed friendly during the week, but weekend staff seemed pretty rude when we took items over to be delivered to her. Also seemed to have a big turnover of staff which might explain lack of communication. When, at one point I had called and my message never got passed on, I recommend a white board & even the staff member said that might be helpful.

Everyone at Prestige is so friendly, they try their best to make every one feel comfortable. The room sizes are generous. The food is good. They have good sized portions, My Grandfather likes that they serve dessert with each meal and that they offer snacks throughout the day. They have movie nights and game nights. We looked at quite a few places in Sierra Vista for memory care and Prestige was the best.

Upon speaking with Prestige Assisted Living's Sales Director [name removed] I was immediately encouraged to find out more about Prestige . Mom and I were invited down to the facility for lunch to get a feel for the people there and the atmosphere. Mom had a friend take her but reported back that her lunch was nice and that she liked the place. When I was able to travel down from Phoenix and join Mom in another lunch at Prestige and look at different sized rooms, I was impressed and encouraged to get Mom into the home as quickly as I could. Some small issues that needed to be talked through took a few weeks to clear up and Prestige kept her room she picked out on hold with a small deposit. Its been two months now and Mom hasn't said anything negative about being there which is a statement in itself. Has her hair done every Thursday which means everything to her.

Prestige Assisted Living was my first choice, but when I had a stroke I had to find another community that fit my needs better. This community is very nice, clean and well maintained. I had multiple meals here and the food was good. My friend lives in this community and his room is nice but much smaller and older than I was looking for. Overall it's a great community.

I think that the most important aspect about the facility is that my loved one feels really, really safe there and she is always looked after by the staff members. Also, the food that they serve is fabulous.
