They have resumed a lot of their activities such as chair yoga, games, physical therapy, etc. They haven't done outings yet but that is in the works. I think they are as caring as non-family members could be to relate to your loved one. The meals are prepared in the home kitchen and I do know that attention is paid to the food pyramid and dietary needs. They make sure that everyone is fed nutritious meals. they are also very receptive to bringing food in for your loved one or the whole house. I have a nice repour with the manager and the daily caregivers, and the owner as well. The value for the money gets a 5 plus, there is no comparison from an institutional setting such as to a nursing home as to a private home setting. My loved one has increased independence, emotional stability, and a feeling of safety. I would more than highly recommend Prentice Homestead to other families, I have in every discussion that I have with others that are in the same boat. I visit the Prentice home once every couple of months giving haircuts to some of the residents. It is a great place for these people. Julie does a wonderful job taking care of everyone. She is kind and compassionate. I would and do recommend this home to anyone.

A lot of the times my mother is just sitting there in front of the TV and not doing anything, so I think they need to up their activities. They have been good with communicating though and letting me know if she needs anything. I would just like to see her have a little more interaction.
