My father was here for a 2 week period after a brief stay in the hospital due to dementia. We had to be self-pay because he was an outpatient at Riverside. We paid $7,770 upfront for one month back in May 2018. Upon discharge we were told it would take about 60 days to get the balance of our payment back, since he was not there the entire 30 days. It is now January 2019 and this still isn't cleared up. They did not bill his insurance for physical therapy services and I had to make several un-returned calls to the business office. Finally, I had to go through the receptionist because the business office would not return my call. Upon receiving my father's EOB a couple months ago, I saw insurance paid for the services I was questioning. I called once again to request a final statement with no response. Unfortunately, we are getting our attorney involved at this point. That was just issues with the business office. The care was not good, either. You would think for $259 a day it would have included laundry services, but they just let his dirty clothes pile up and put a note on it that the family would handle. Not that there was a lot of laundry, because I visited about every couple of days and noticed he was wearing the same sweatpants for an entire week. One can only assume they didn't bother to assist him with showering. When I asked they said he just wanted to wear the same pair. Not sure why they would let that happen when he had clean clothes available. During one of my visits there, I noticed a gentleman in a wheelchair being yelled at by a staff member. This gentleman was always sitting in the hallway alone. He was not yelling back at the worker, so I'm not sure why this poor man was being screamed at. I would never recommend this place to care for a family member.

If I could give 0 stars I would. My mother in law was in this facility just less than 2 weeks. In that time she was not assisted in taking a shower until the final day. Upon one visit her legs were incredibly swollen. This was not noticed by a nurse and when brought to their attention they didn't show any concern. One morning her blood sugar level was at 60 and she asked for some orange juice. She was told they keep it locked up. The final day she was there she needed assistance getting to the restroom. When her call was not answered she tried to make it on her own and ended up having an accident. She had to yell for someone to help clean her up. We were trying to get her moved to another facility that would better assist her and Pickerington Nursing and Rehab was not helpful. In fact my mother in law got so frustrated she just went home. This she was not ready for. When my husband went and asked for records they weren't even aware she had left. This facility is what gives rehab facilities a bad name.

DO NOT USE THIS FACILTY. I recently pulled my mom from this facility due to mistreatment. Every time I went to see her she was sitting in her own feces and urine. When I would question the staff, the response was always "she refused care." I for one know this was not the case. The medical records that were transferred to the new facility were a complete mess and inaccurate. I was also told she was getting medication that was never documented in her file. If, you care about a loved one and want a safe place for them to be where they will be well cared for, this is NOT it.
