The owner is very pleasant to be around. He makes you feel comfortable when you're there. The caregivers are pretty much equally that way. All the staff is very pleasant and very accommodating. We have hospice workers there as well, recommended by Peoria, and I've been satisfied with them from day one. They are excellent and seasoned at what they do. Everyone there takes very good care of my loved one. It's a big house with a lot of people, so sometimes the bathroom is not really tidy. I'm kind of a clean freak, so I notice those things. There's just some little cleaning things they could do a better job at. I've not tried the food, but they do offer it to me, and it always smells good. My loved one is a picky eater and is doing quite well with it. The cost is considerable, but I feel like they're as economical as they can be.

I toured here when looking for options. It did not make the final cut for me. It was not quite as clean and nice as some of the others. It wasn't dirty, but not as good. There were only a couple of people working when I came and it was pretty clear they didn't get the residents up much. They were sitting around watching TV, and the staff made a joke about how they didn't care what was on, or what they were watching. It wasn't really for me, and I had other options that were a better fit.

Staff attitude and friendliness was heartwarming. Good explanation of staff coverage in evenings; handling behavior issues; meds management and staff training. Residents seemed well cared for and content.
