North Woods Village at Edison Lakes

We moved my mother to Northwood from a different facility due to care issues. Everything has been better here. They have been compassionate, attentive, and tolerant of my mother. We are so happy we are here at Northwood. It was a good decision to come here.

They take care of my mom so amazingly! The food is wonderful! All the people are so nice and friendly! It’s very very clean! I would take any of my loved ones there and is I end up with Alzheimer’s I hope they let me stay there!

My dad's room, neighborhood, shared living spaces, meals, activities, on-sight care give me peace of mind. When I visit I feel welcomed, comfortable and at home. I am so grateful we found North Woods Village of Edison Lakes to care for my dad.

Worry and concern regarding choosing the best place for my mom’s care have turned into trust and absolute peace of mind. The entire staff at North Woods Village can be described as dedicated, knowledgeable, and professional. Mom’s accommodation is spacious and clean, her meals are tasty and nutritious, and we, her family, have 24/7 access to her. A+ is the grade I give this facility!

Northwood Village has been a great experience for my father, Who is in the memory care facility. kind, compassionate workers. He gets the most excellent care and the food is great. The nursing staff is caring, compassionate, and on top of things

Caring and compassionate staff who advocate for the well-being of each resident. Every person is treated like family in a warm and inviting environment. The space is always clean and if there there are any concerns, any member of staff is willing to help. Their reputation precedes itself within the community.

I am very pleased with the North Woods Village of Mishawaka community. The staff throughout are friendly, courteous, kind & caring. If ever there is a concern, the staff is very accommodating, helpful, & prompt. Overall, I can rest assured that my loved one is being very well taken care of.

North Woods Village is a beautiful, comfortable home for Mom. The staff are wonderful and go out of their way to make the residents and family comfortable.. The rooms are spacious and we love the "neighborhood" feeling of the facility. I appreciate how everything is kept so clean and tidy. The courtyard, as well as all the grounds, are well manicured and welcoming. Special thanks to the Directors and all staff for taking such pride in the care of our loved ones.

The facility is very nice and the layout is excellent. Rooms are clean and well maintained. The staff caring for my dad were excellent, we were very blessed to have one nurse that was outstanding. The problem with the staffing is not enough and too many people pulling doubles. Nights, weekends and Holidays are a real problem which I shared with the director several times. The other area for improvement is with the activities. Too few and not well executed.

Moving our mom to a care facility was not an easy transition to face. It has been an incredible relief to have found North Woods Village at Edison Lakes. The staff has been very kind to Mom and that has given us all great peace of mind. They stop to give a hug, say something nice, spend a few minutes here or there sitting with her and treating her like the living and feeling being that she is. The residents are often very fragile in one way or another-memory loss can be so cruel. Having staff trained specifically to meet these people where they are is so important. A second extremely important factor for us is cleanliness. We need Mom to be in a clean, fresh, uplifting place. Her housekeeping staff member is one of the warmest people I know, truly cares about the residents, and has cleanliness standards that reflect her genuine care for their well being. The staff has been welcoming, available, approachable. We feel we have made a good choice with North Woods Village at Edison Lakes.

I struggled to take care of my Mom at home alone while I continued to work full time. I knew it was not the best situation for either of us so I began to look for a solution and I found North Woods Village and from the moment I walked into the facility it felt like just what I was looking for. I am seeing an incredible improvement in my Mom and it gives me peace of mind. The facility is very secure, nicely decorated and very clean. The staff is well trained and attentive and the food is delicious. In addition to the resources for residents they offer caregiver resources. I definitely recommend North Woods Village as a gem in our community.

I would like to express my gratitude for how well the whole staff goes above and beyond their duty in order to make my Mother's stay as comfortable as possible. The love they show is amazing! I appreciate how well everyone who comes in contact with my Mother treats her.

My Mom has been in residence for over 3 yrs. She has been safe, happy and comfortable. The building is spotless. The building design makes it airy and light w/a beautiful central courtyard and wide hallways. The staff is caring and attentive. There are activities to accommodate the many levels and abilities of Alzheimer’s. I would urge any family looking for top notch care to check out NorthWoods Village.

When I first walked in the building I saw a beautiful lobby, and it smelled great. Then we toured the rest of the building, it was just as pleasant as the lobby. The food looked great and the residents were having a great time!

Sometimes I think they were understaffed. But that seems to be a problem everywhere these days. However, I believe that they did well considering the number of people they had to care for. Based off of our experience there, I would recommend North Woods Village at Edison Lakes.

The thing that sticks out most about North Woods Village at Edison Lakes is the staff. They are very friendly and communicative with the family. I would recommend this facility to others.

Our Mother is 94 years young and had recently suffered a fall at home. We noticed after the fall how quickly she was declining mentally. We originally had planned on placing her in an assisted living facility. We visited North Woods Village and were immediately impressed with the level of care our mom would be receiving. We love her room, the cleanliness of the facility and the personal care she is receiving. We have peace of mind knowing that she is receiving her meds, meals and physical and mental therapy on a daily basis. We love the staff and so does our mother.
