Had a tour with [name removed] and [name removed]. She was warm and introduced me to the team. I trust that they are going to take care of my mom. Excited for my mother to move in so we can have our relationship back, it’s time for me to stop being a care giver

Jordan as a community has gone through a lot of management changes within the past couple of years. Food quality has improved a lot, and the staffing overall is quite decent. It seems that management is actively working to improve the general operation of all departments. There is definitely potential for even better quality of service moving forward. The strongest point of this community is the friendliness of the staff. The staff genuinely cares for the residents and are willing to spend extra time giving them the care they need.

From the moment we toured the community, we knew it was the right place for my family member. The staff are incredibly caring, attentive, and always ready to help with any need, big or small. The facility itself is clean, well-maintained, and feels like home. They offer a variety of activities to keep residents engaged and connected, and the food is delicious with plenty of options to choose from. What really stands out is the personalized care. The team goes above and beyond to make sure my family member feels comfortable and valued. Communication is excellent, and we always feel well-informed about any changes or updates. It’s clear that they truly care about their residents’ well-being.

I have worked in a long-term care community for many years and this building previously did have a poor management however there is a brand new administrator with a brand new management team at Jordan and I can proudly say that they have turned over a new leaf. They are eager to meet all concerns and all requests by any residents or family. The new chef is making food from scratch and the life enrichment team has added on so many additional activities that the residents have stated that they feel like they’re on a stationary cruise ship. The previous reviews from the prior years are not a true reflection of what I have seen at this building currently. The memory care program is also wonderful, the residents feel loved and their needs are met, and there is always something to do. The staff is warm and will always give a kind hello and meet your needs preemptively.

I love the vibe here. The staff are super friendly. It feels like home rather than some places that just look like a gimmicky hotel. The food is fresh. I love that they do events regularly. They brought beers for Oktoberfest. They even did a car show a few months ago.

This is a beautiful facility where a family member resides. The staff here is amazing and we feel very blessed to have such a great place for her to call home. If you’re thinking of making this your family member’s home, or your home, definitely do it!

I have had the opportunity to visit this community many times over the years, and I have to say, it gets better and better! The new Executive Director and her team have brought such a fresh of breath-air! Every time I visit, the staff is warm and inviting, the community is clean, and the overall feel is “homey”. The residents are joyful and there always seems to be something fun going on! I thoroughly enjoy making my visits to MorningStar Jordan.

I had a very pleasant tour, the outside of the building is getting ready for Christmas, so that was nice to see. They had a welcome board outside the door with my name on it, the building overall looked clean and well cared for but most of all the staff was incredibly friendly. There were smiles on every face, and I felt very welcomed. The sales Director [name removed] was very friendly and made me feel like I was the most important person in the room. No rush, no strong arm sales tactics either. I had a few brief moments to meet with [name removed], the executive Director and she was very pleasant and very kind. We’re not sure we’re ready to move Mom into a community quite yet, we’re still in the research mode, but the information they gave us and the warm feelings that we left with really went along way. I would definitely consider this community when the time is right.

Beautiful facility. It has management problems. There are some fantastic people. They are not ADA equipped for vision impaired They use QMAP people for meds. Not well educated, but they are following Colorado law. Just wished I knew

Response from MorningStar at Jordan
July 15, 2024Thank you for praising the beauty of our community and the great hearts in service to our residents. Being licensed for assisted living, MorningStar values the contribution of Qmaps who are certified in medication management. Their continuing education is robust, as it is for all the various roles on our team. Accommodating special needs, whether visual or otherwise, is our pleasure and assumed responsibility as a senior community. Please give us another opportunity to present our skills and eagerness to serve.
5 stars for everything. The staff treated my family like their family. I always felt welcome and informed. This was an awesome place for my mom and dad to get to be together the last 6 months of their lives. I will always be grateful to them for the quality of care and love they gave us. I would DEFINITELY recommend MorningStar at Jordan to others who are looking.

July 28, 2023Thank you, Vicki! We humbly receive your words of praise. It was our absolute joy to come alongside you and your family in caring for your dear parents.
Improvements that this community could make is when tenant has empty oxygen tanks despite repeated attempts to correct this issue. Tenant had to sleep in soiled bedding told by staff that it was okay. Room smells bad because soiled adults diapers left in trash. Tenant told she must go to bed immediately after dinner. Tenant concerned with retaliation if she complained

Response from MorningStar at Jordan
May 19, 2023We are very sorry for all that led you to leave such an assessment. As to care and continence, the scene you describe would not be tolerated as it violates not only MorningStar’s standards of care but personal dignity which is paramount. Residents inform us when they want to retire for the evening. Never would we make that decision for them. We value all residents and work tirelessly to provide a safe and happy environment for each. You are welcome to call the community and speak directly with Executive Director Nick; we have found that to be the best way to resolve any concern.
Our family had an in person tour and we thought it was a great experience, but at the end of the day we just did not think it was going to be the best fit, but the staff were very friendly.

January 28, 2023Thank you so much for stopping by! We love to show off the love beneath our roof.
I would give Morning Star 5 on everything. They have been wonderful working with. I had excellent help with finding several places to visit. I couldn't have done it without the advice of my councilor.

October 1, 2021Thank you for taking the time to leave us a review. We are here to serve as a trusted resource.
My father only lived here about 6 weeks before he passed away and it was during the pandemic so we only got to visit the first week. First, the good. There were a few excellent caregivers who took an interest in my Dad and were wonderful. His physical space was very nice. Now the bad - they are seriously understaffed which is not the fault of the caregivers. The administrative team was extremely helpful and solicitous while we were looking at memory care but became disinterested and even hostile after we placed my father in the facility. They did not return phone calls or respond to emails, when we had questions or issues. My Dad needed help with FaceTime during the pandemic and while they communicated relatively frequently by email, they asked that residents initiate the desire to FaceTime. My Dad was in memory care and could not do that so I responded both by phone and email and the administrative team NEVER responded. But for a staff member who was unbelievably helpful we never would have spoken with my Dad on FaceTime. The last straw was this - my father wore a Cochlear implant which cost upwards of $20,000. He could not hear without it. The implant was lost on a Tuesday but no one contacted us about this so that we could arrange for a replacement. Unfortunately, my father developed sepsis on Saturday and was taken to the hospital and passed away the following week. We did not find out about the missing implant until my Dad was in the ICU at the hospital and could not communicate with us or the caregivers at the hospital because his implant was lost and he could not hear. The administrators at Morningstar did not return emails or calls about this, and once we were able to speak with them, they did not apologize for not letting us know the implant was missing. Except for the one caregiver who was a hero, no one reached out when my Dad passed away - no card, no call, nothing. Granted he only lived there about 6 weeks but my feelings were very hurt that no one reached out.

Response from MorningStar at Jordan
July 23, 2020Thank you for praising the caliber of our staff and the beauty of our community. However, it saddens us to read of your disappointment in other regards. We pride ourselves on returning calls quickly and generally being very communicative with our families. By our memory of events, we were in frequent contact with you throughout most of your father’s stay, reaching out often by phone and email. We reported the missing implant immediately and thereafter as the extensive search continued for this valuable device. The probable cause was likely his repeated removal of it. With his passing, we did express our sincere condolences through calls, a mailed card and upon seeing you as we helped pack his belongings. Wishing you and your family God’s comfort as you grieve his loss.
This one we were not too impressed with. It seems more of a nursing home than an assisted living. They don't allow residents to even have a microwave unless they are approved.

Response from MorningStar at Jordan
July 24, 2018We are sorry to read of your poor impression of our community. In countless ways, MorningStar is devoted to presenting the new face of senior living, a departure from the institutional settings that have long typified retirement. Our community is distinguished by award-winning design and high-end hospitality services, coupled with compassionate care. However, as a licensed assisted living facility (ALF), we must comply with Department of Health regulations. Stovetops are not permitted in resident suites (nor is it necessary, as we serve three hot meals a day). There is ample room in the kitchenette of every suite for a microwave. But its use is dependent upon the individual’s health and physician’s orders to ensure resident safety and well-being.
My Father is at this facility and everyone is always friendly. The caregivers have been adequate even though I feel like they have a staffing issue. They do offer some activities including bingo, card games, movies, communion, and weekly trips to go shopping. The only complaint my dad really has is the food. They serve a large breakfast and the lunch/dinner is quite pathetic. I would recommend this facility to other families.

Wanted a place closer to our home for mom. They were so anxious to get us in there they paid for moving. My mom, they said after a month, was having issues so they were going to raise her rent by 50% a month. Mind you my mom was coming from independent living to assisted just to help her out a little. Wow that move-in was NOT free!! Food is barely adequate, bathrooms went for weeks without being cleaned they would tell you that they only had one person for cleaning the facility. At times they would not have a L.P.N. at all on staff for several days in a row.

My love one stayed at Morningstar at Jordan for a brief respite stay. They did a good job for the short time he was there. I had an emergency so I had to have someone else look after him for a brief time. We were both uneducated to the fact that he would quickly have to adjust to their schedule. I had spoiled him and would promptly answer his needs to use the restroom right away. He is very impatient and it was difficult for him to get used to the schedules and routines. The staff was wonderful. I never saw a staff member without a smile or a caring attitude. I would suggest that your loved one and the family be educated that they let their loved one know they have to wait for help if they are not capable of walking on their own. I felt we both needed to be aware of that before we arrived. This was a close and convenient community for our family to come and visit. I would recommend it to others.
