Meridian at Lake San Marcos

We live in the independent living of Meridian. We have a beautiful 3bed 2.5 bath apartment. We really enjoy the lifestyle they offer us. We chose this place because of their amazing dining room. We don't have to cook anymore. Their restaurant is open all day from 7am-7pm, and the staff is very professional. They also have a really spacious underground parking garage. Our car is safe and out of the weather. The garage also connects the entire community, so if it is raining we can still get around.

The Meridian is by far the best senior living community I have ever seen. I have moved my dad to two senior living communities and this one by far takes it. Ever since the pandemic, my dad has declined due to staying indoors all the time. The Meridian has brought out a side of my dad I haven't seen in almost a year. I am very thankful for their service & hospitality they have shown. The executive director [name removed] truly cares for his residents and his employees and it shows in everything they do. If you are looking for a caring, fun, active, and compassionate community for a loved one, this is it !

I moved into The Meridian One year ago. I chose to move to the Meridian because it is The best Independent Living community in all of San Diego and a dear friend recommended me to move here. When I first came to the Meridian I fell in love with the community. The community offers everything you could possibly want. It offers meals, activities, and many different amenities.

Our Director [name removed]has done an amazing job during this pandemic. She has made sure all the residents are safe and healthy. She has been upfront with everything going on in the community by sending us weekly updates. We are so happy to be living here. If you are looking for a wonderful place to live we highly recommend that you come and look at the Meridian.

I have lived here at the meridian since the beginning. I was the 3rd person to move in. We are very fortunate because we have beautiful grounds to enjoy and walk around. Lots of beautiful well-maintained flowers and landscape. It is so wonderful that I don’t have to do my laundry they do it for me. They also clean my apartment every week. [name removed], the Executive Director, is top-notch. She runs our community so well. She is so beautiful and elegant and throws terrific parties. She threw me a surprise 99th birthday party.

The chef is always available and open to new ideas. The grounds here are always pristine thanks to grounds keeper [name removed]! He always keeps it up, and it’s enjoyable to sit and relax around the community. There are lots of fun activities for us to do, and I really enjoy the swim class. The Meridian all around checks all the boxes, and they are the best in the area.

Hats off to the Meridian Team for helping get my dad settled and moved into his new apartment! Special shout out to [name removed] for setting up his things so well. And to [names removed] and their crew for doing all the heavy lifting! Truly a great place even in these crazy times!! Thank you all!!

Thanks so much Meridian, Executive director [name removed], and all the amazing staff for keeping my mom, [name removed], safe during this pandemic. We pay close attention to the detailed emails you send about all precautions being taken and mom assures us that it has all being carefully implemented. Though we miss hanging out with her in person, her safety and the safety of the other residents is the top priority.

I have lived here at The Meridian for 16 months, and I think it is thoroughly enjoyable. After comparing various senior living facilities, I have noticied the following significant differences: #1) The Meridian has apartments larger than any other facilities I have visited. #2) A requirement to work at The Meridian is your ability to sincerely enjoy working with people. #3) The meals are excellent as they are at many of the other facilities. #4) The opportunities for lifestyle activities are available for all who care to use them. #5) Transportation is available for medical, shopping, and outings. #6) There are beauty shops, weight rooms, assembly rooms, libraries, theater, full bar, and pool all available when and if desired. #7) And finally, the management at the Meridian is not only knowledge but very very friendly. Talk to [name removed], he is nice and can get you set up with an apartment!

The Meridian is a great place. I moved here a little over a year ago. My sister-in-law lives here at The Meridian as well. We are both very happy. I have a comfortable 1bedroom apartment. The meridian cleans my apartment for me every week. I have a car, and I am able to park it in the underground parking garage. It is very easy to go from my apartment to my car. What i find nice about here is the variety of things available for us to do. I play bingo, watch the evening movie in the nice theater, and reading the morning paper and talking to everybody around. I get my hair done in the hair salon every week. The availability of that is very convenient. I find it very enjoyable to meet new people. There is such an enormous variety of life stories and i find it very interesting. I enjoy eating with friends in the restaurant. I find the meals enjoyable and very healthy. The waitstaff does a great job taking care of everyone. They also do big special events with big buffets. Mother's Day, Hawaiian Luau, 4th of July party, and many more! Such a wonderful community!

Under the expert supervision of [name removed] there is a team that really cares and often goes way beyond that which is required. They are: [name removed], [name removed], [name removed]. Backing up this great crew providing fresh linens are [name removed] and [name removed].

We moved to The Meridian November 2018. It is a lovely home. We especially appreciate the friendly and caring staff, all of whom do a wonderful job of meeting our needs. The maintenance staff has been especially helpful in responding to requests. We have had new furniture delivered which required some assembly, as well as help with placing things in storage, They are excellent, helpful, and kind. Thank you!

To whomever may be considering moving a loved one to The Meridian at Lake San Marcos, I highly suggest “YES.” I work in the industry and know good care when I see it. Not only is it clean and beautiful, the staff is extremely friendly. My mother recently moved in and had a medical emergency her caregiver responded quickly and the LVN, [name removed] acknowledged the urgency and immediately called 911. My mom spent the next six days at the hospital. I credit [name removed], RN/Executive Director for managing and hiring an experienced team.

The staff at The Meridian is wonderful. Especially the Executive Director [name removed]. Very passionate about her residents and staff!

The Meridian at Lake San Marcos is such a beautiful community! They have a large clubhouse with lots of amenities. All of the staff and residents are very friendly. The Executive Director, [Name removed], and Sales Director, [Name removed], take pride in their community! The apartments were very nice, and the food is delicious. Everything was purpose built for seniors. I recommend everyone take a visit and have lunch!

[Name removed] and her team are extraordinary. The community is gorgeous and luxurious!

We just moved my parents here a few weeks ago and wanted to let everyone here know what a wonderful place it is. My parents LOVE the food and tell us how nice the staff is. My kids have joined us several times too and also really enjoy the food. We are so thankful or everyone here and all the amenities offered. My parents this the food is like Michelin 3- star restaurant.

The staff here is outstanding in there friendliness and willingness to help. Another outstanding feature is the availability of activities, courses, and outings.

I have been living here for a year and the residents to be very friendly. The help are very caring for the most part, Everyone was very caring when my husband passed away.
