DO NOT EVER PUT YOUR LOVED ONE IN the Meadow Park Rehabilitation Center. Upon arrival I was put in a gown and they insisted I wear a diaper. I struggled terribly with them over wearing a diaper, but they absolutely insisted. I found out the reason for the diaper is that they will not take you to the bathroom. I asked for them to put ice on my knee. They said they DID NOT have ice bags. I was there for 4 days and received 15 minutes of physical therapy. No nurse or attendant came to check on me throughout the weekend. During the 4 days I was there, I asked to wash myself, but was only offered to wash myself one time, and only got a fresh gown once. On the 4th day, I had had enough and figured this was not on the up-and-up. The nurse, case worker and social worker came to say I could not leave without doctor approval, and I said “bet me." My husband and I gathered my things and left the facility.

My 92 year old mother was here for short term rehab until Tuesday. We did not have a good experience. My dad had difficulty finding anyone around when my Mom had a need. Can't imagine what it was like when he wasn't there and she needed something. I couldn't get anyone to return my calls. Was told there would be a care plan meeting with family and that never happened. My Mom had to use the bathroom in the night and could not get anyone to come and so got up and went by herself. She is at very high risk for falling and was there due to a fall. Because of a broken clavicle she can't use a walker. So very dangerous she got up by herself. The discharge was horrible. My 92 year old father received a bag of pills, no discharge instruction, no idea when she last received the medicine, no information about referral for homecare. I have called the last 3 days straight and can't get anyone to call me back. My mom has be to rehab many times and this was by far the worst.

As a recent patient, after hospitalization, I would like to remind prospective clients that this is a for-profit institution. Money and profit are first and foremost. As a first-hand experience example, my first shower there was scary as I was given little help , few supplies and given a face towel and a PIllowcase to dry myself off with, as they were out of supplies. Food was absolutely horrible and due to extreme allergic reactions, that I alerted staff to, was then given on at least 12 x those exact foods that cause a reaction. Only one that I didn’t catch, caused medical intervention. There are individual staff members that are golden, intelligent, caring, compassionate folks that bear more responsibility because they care. Seeing fellow roommates lay in urine and feces-saturated diapers for hours was degrading and demoralizing. Not enough staff to handle the responsibilities expected of them, never enough supplies that they need and I’m sure not the pay that so many deserve.

This place is awful. At times they didn’t even have clean linen. A family member came every day while my mom was there. We would here patients/residents calling out for help and no one would come. My family and I would assist if we could. It’s really a shame because unfortunately everyone doesn’t have family to speak up for them and as a result they are treated poorly. Please don’t place your love one in this place unless you are prepared to be there constantly addressing problems

My husband was there and the care he received exceeded my expectations. Everyone works with a passion when it come to caring for the patient. When I say everyone that's what I mean. Everyone I had an encounter with was exceptional and this was all telephone communication. Any request my husband made was taken care of with compassion. From the front desk to his room Meadow Park Catonsville rates a 10 in my book. Exceptional!! Thank You. Keep doing what you're doing.

It is a very nice place. They are remodeling and the newer rooms are updated nicely. It seems that the techs and nurses are overwhelmed to help the residents with everyday needs.

The place is very clean but the help leaves a lot to be desired. Some of the help is very lax and slow to respond.

My loved one has a nice private room. There was an issue with the transport to the facility.

Myself and a bunch of our family have all been patients there and everybody loves Meadow Park and the treatment. We have all been treated with dignity and respect. I like the cleanliness of the place. I like the fact that they call every time something happened with my brother; when they changed any of his medications or if they did anything. They're really good.

It is early but so far we are pleased with Meadow Park Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center. My husband has just started his physical therapy. The nursing care seemed to be pretty good back when I was able to visit the facility. The staff has been very friendly throughout the experience.

A Place for Mom has scored Meadow Park Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center 5.3 out of 10 using our proprietary review score.
We assign review scores to give a more reliable view into senior living communities and home care agencies. Our review scores prioritize reviews that are recent — the past 24 months — because we know families need current information when choosing senior care.
Those with many recent, positive reviews receive a high review score, while providers with few recent reviews — regardless of how positive — receive a lower review score. Communities with no recent reviews will not have a review score, even if older reviews are positive. The maximum A Place for Mom review score a community can receive is 10 points.
