My father told me there meals have gotten worse since he moved in. The people have been very nice though. I think they have had problems with food deliveries and staffing. The rooms are a good size for one person.

My mother stayed in the memory care wing of Manor at Marketplace for two weeks. It was an easy process to arrange from initial information gathering to touring the facility to completing the paperwork to the actual stay. The staff were all friendly and informative. My mother was comfortable and well cared for while I was out of state. I was able to call and speak with her as well as with the staff. I would recommend the Manor at Marketplace to anyone looking for short term respite care or for something more permanent.

My loved one is currently a resident at Manor At Market Square and overall, the experience has been good for her at this facility. The cleanliness and the meals are great. The friendliness is good. My loved one doesn't participate in any of the activities and doesn't leave her room. I wish that they would get her out more.

Response from Manor At Market Square
June 3, 2024Thank you so much for your positive feedback about the cleanliness and meals. I encourage you to speak to our Executive Director about ways to get your loved one engaged. Because we offer three levels of care (independent living, personal care and memory care), we can offer varying levels of support. However, we recognize how important socialization is and are happy to work with you to create a strategy!
Staff are very helpful and friendly. They make the residents feel comfortable and engage them in a variety of activities. Can't say enough good things about the staff. I was told that the food quality has fallen in the recent weeks.

The initial process getting dad in there, staff was helpful and nice. Getting in touch with someone afterwards is a bit more complicated but overall great place. Most affordable given dads limited income yet still including services and care he needed.

Response from Manor At Market Square
May 9, 2024Thank you so much for your review! We are glad that Manor fits both dad's needs and budget! Please reach out to our Executive Director about the difficulty you are having getting in touch with someone. Our front desk is "manned" every day and there is always a Manager on Duty. We don't want it to be complicated.
My loved one was previously a resident at Manor At Market Square and overall, the experience was okay. The facility was really improving when they hired a Director for the Memory Care Unit. My loved one enjoyed the activities. The housekeeping was good. The meals needed improvement - for example - cold dry meatloaf is terrible for seniors and while the menu said they could have options - they were never offered to residents when they did not like the main dinner. There were never any condiments. Not even salt and pepper. The staff was friendly and I loved the Director.

Response from Manor At Market Square
April 12, 2024Thank you for the positive feedback on our team, activity program and housekeeping. It sounds like you were most disappointed with our meals and dining. I am sorry that you didn't speak with the Director at the time. Everything that you mention - alternate menus, condiments, salt and pepper are absolutely available.
If you have the money go elsewhere. It was the only choice for the money.

A Place for Mom has scored Manor At Market Square 9.5 out of 10 using our proprietary review score.
We assign review scores to give a more reliable view into senior living communities and home care agencies. Our review scores prioritize reviews that are recent — the past 24 months — because we know families need current information when choosing senior care.
Those with many recent, positive reviews receive a high review score, while providers with few recent reviews — regardless of how positive — receive a lower review score. Communities with no recent reviews will not have a review score, even if older reviews are positive. The maximum A Place for Mom review score a community can receive is 10 points.
