This is by far the best facility for independent, assisted living! Cannot say enough about the excellent care and respect given to the residents there. The food choices and dining staff are both well above restaurant quality. The activities director works with the patients to provide many options for entertainment. The staff in general take an interest in each resident and get to know them personally. The front desk staff are very capable and ready to help when needed. This is a beautifully decorated building and the apartments were the best of all the places we visited. This was the most economical facility we visited as well.

Extremely happy with the space and things offered Pleased with the staff and their involvement with my mother both getting to know her and trying to get her involved with activities and overall acclimated. The immediate feeling we had on our first visit. You could tell the kind of staff that was there. The residents were treated like family and truly cared for. This was obvious in the short time we were there on our first visit.

When we moved our Mother to Magnolia Springs, we were skeptical about the care she would receive. After just one week we quickly realized that she would in fact get great care. About 85% of the staff are extremely loving and caring people. There is always going to be staff that you just don’t click with but it not a reflection of Magnolia Springs as a whole. The food is surprisingly good and sometimes great.

We were fortunate for my 96 yr old mom to live with us for 15 years. But a year after she was diagnosed with Alzheimers, she started to 'get lost', first inside the house, then also outside. I had a friend whose mother had lived at MSS, and she was very happy with her mom's stay. We visited 2 facilities, and decided on Magnolia Springs. I can't say she loved it from day 1, because she wanted to go home. However, her memories of home were mostly from earlier years. It's very draining to care for a loved one 24 /7 with this disease. My brother & I felt confident in this place. The facility is bright & cheery, and the staff works very hard to make your loved one feel cared for and happy. The food is very good, the activities are varied, and the overall feel is calm. Mom wasn't always an easy resident to deal with, but every effort was made to help her settle in and adjust. Thanks to the Memory Care staff who always went above & beyond.

This place has been an answer to our prayers. After our father broke his hip in April 2022, we made the tough but mutual decision to move he and our mom into assisted living at MS Southpointe. The apartment was lovely, the services top notch. Unfortunately, my father passed and our mom has remained at MS. She has flourished there and has made numerous friends and truly benefits from all of the amazing activities available. The staff are so courteous and professional and really make sure our mom is safe and cared for as if they were her family. Thank you to all the staff at MS Southpointe for all you do for our family every day.

My Aunt and I looked at many assisted living facilities before deciding on Magnolia Springs Southpointe. We have been pleased with our choice since 2019. MSS is clean, smells like a nice hotel and the staff is great. When Covid 19 hit, MSS staff was quick to put safety protocols in place and continued to follow them. The staff also looked for ways for us to keep in touch with our family members, for their mental health. A TV type of facetime was added. A small tented area was sit up out side where family members could sit and could talk to their residents who remained on covered porches a safe distance away. This especially was so much appreciated by both patients and their families, during a really difficult time for everyone. The staff has done a great job of communicating information about MSS to residents and their caregivers at home. I am so happy we found MSS. My life has been so much calmer. My Aunt is 95 this year and does not ever want to leave Magnolia.

Our parents couldn't be happier. They have told us they can't believe we found such a nice place for them. From top to bottom, the staff could not be any nicer or more helpful. They have many activities which allow residents to choose what they might want to do. Our parents are happy with the meals and enjoy finding snacks at the bistro. They have a great variety of things to choose from. We give them high marks in every area.

Magnolia Springs has been an incredible find. We were seeking a place that provided full service amenities at a price that was at least reasonable. Everywhere we looked the facilities were dingy and depressing with staff that ranged from indifferent to untrustworthy. When we toured MSSouthpointe we had a feeling almost right away that this place was different. My brother in-law described it as having a well organized almost corporate feel. Like a well run high end hotel. After 6 months there the feeling was correct. They are organized and everyone we have worked with or interacted with have been positive, helpful and genuinely nice. I’m grateful we visited and very happy with the choice we made.

Mom has been with Magnolia for 2 years. She states if you can't be in your own home this is the best next thing. Staff is friendly and Mom says the food is wonderful & when I see it it looks like it!! They have activities all the time. All the amenities they are offer is great. My sister and I are so pleased this is where she lives so she can have interaction with her peers.

We really do like the atmosphere of the community and the apartment rooms are comfortable. The food from what we have heard is good and well organized. Hopefully the activities can make some improvement - there is nothing after 3pm and during the days the activities are a hit or miss. The community is not but it could be cleaner, there will always be some good and bad things since it is not home.

They ARE NOT A LICENSED FACILITY. They are not governed by or overseen by the state and will not keep records of when and what meds are "given" to residents. If your cared one needs any type of medical care,do not put them at Magnolia Springs. The statements in their information about personal care and getting to know residents has not been our experience. We were told that they do NOT "give" medications; they only "prompt" residents to take meds and the "prompting" is suppose to be done within one hour of when medicine is prescribed to be taken. Our dad's meds have been " prompted" well past an hour before or after they were due. They will not provide any type of medical care and seem to have NO understanding of working with residents with mental health issues. He went 48 hours without sleep and no one at Magnolia Springs had any idea. Only two caregivers work at night. Maintenance workers refused to come in during an evening when toilet was clogged.

Under our registered status we do not offer medical services, therefore the state of Indiana does not require us to have a license with the state or provide medical personnel; we do provide personal care services. I know there has been dialogue regarding your father’s care, and your feedback is important. The facility itself is beautiful but this is an unlicensed facility. This means there is no nursing staff or Director of Nursing. Unlicensed means that the state of Indiana has no jurisdiction over them and does not come in on a regular basis to check on what happens in this facility. Many maintenance issues with heating/air units. During hot weather air did not work for 2 weeks. Clogged toilets in the evening will not be taken care of by maintenance until the next morning. Staffing for assisted living in evening and weekends is 2-3 caregivers for 80 residents. Many times medication reminders were 1.5 to 2 hours after time to be given. Several times I was told “no showers tonight…we don’t have enough people” and “we are not doing trash pickup today”. This facility is more like independent living and can get by with assisted living as they provide 3 meals a day and resident activities. If your loved one needs true assistance this is not the place that is able to provide it.

Magnolia Springs Southpointe is an upscale facility that is very nice. The staff were great, the menu was extensive and the best that I have seen, and the care looked to be good. It is a good quality facility, but it was much more expensive.
