I took a day off from work to spend time with my dad and take him out for the day. My father is perfectly mobile and competent and wanted very much to get out and enjoy the beautiful day with myself and his granddaughter. The administrator and another staff member caused a scene in front of other residents threatening to call the police and have me arrested for kidnapping. It was absolutely appalling. When I asked to see the documents that gave her the right to basically hold my father hostage, she told me I was not allowed to see them. They won’t even show those documents to my father. After confirming with the police that I was doing nothing wrong we started to walk to my vehicle at which time they were screaming at us across the parking lot saying they were going to have me prosecuted. Minutes later I received a call from the police who advised me that they had in fact called them to report that I “kidnapped” my own father. The officer told me that they would not be getting involved

We chose Liza's House because it was not cold and stale, it was more like a home and that is what we really wanted for her. The room sizes are really good for what she needs. It just gives us a sense of peace and security knowing that she is here and well taken care of. I would recommend to others.

A very pretty place. Nice location. What I liked was that all the rooms were on one floor. Each room has its own personality. The staff seemed friendly. Pricing was with in the market value. Community fee a bit high. Would have admitted my loved one. However, we decided to move them into another community.

So far we haven't had any complaints. I liked the atmosphere. It was very homey. Each room has different wallpapering, and blinds with lacy curtains, it gives it more of a personal feel. The food here is good. They make sure to get her up and bring her out on her good days.

I have been Thrilled with this community. My loved one has a private room. This worked out great for us. Owner has been very nice and always returns my phone calls promptly. It has been a very, very good experience. If you want your loved one at a community that does Not have 99 doors I would recommend this facility. They also have home cooking that my loved one enjoys. Overall, This has been a great experience!

My sister, mother and I visited twice before my mother chose Liza's House as her new residence. The staff is very friendly, understanding of the residents' needs, and helpful to the family. On our visits we found the facility very clean as well as the residents who reside there. No matter what time of the day we came everything was in order. You can share a meal with your family member on short notice. The quality of the food is good and the menu has variety. Liza's House is situated at the base of a mountain. The rooms are spacious and comfortable. There is a dining area, sitting area, and a special room which all the residents like. They grill in the summer, weather permitting. Several outside sitting areas are available. We are happy that we chose this place as an assisted living facility for our mom and would recommend it to others. My niece has a friend whose mother and father have resided here. They were very happy with the treatment their parents received during there stay here at Liza's House.

A Place for Mom has scored Liza's House 5.7 out of 10 using our proprietary review score.
We assign review scores to give a more reliable view into senior living communities and home care agencies. Our review scores prioritize reviews that are recent — the past 24 months — because we know families need current information when choosing senior care.
Those with many recent, positive reviews receive a high review score, while providers with few recent reviews — regardless of how positive — receive a lower review score. Communities with no recent reviews will not have a review score, even if older reviews are positive. The maximum A Place for Mom review score a community can receive is 10 points.
