Lithia Valley Manor - Five Stars

This small care home is located just outside the town of Factoryville on Route 6 west. It is designed specifically for seniors who require minimal to moderate care. Three meals are provided. Each resident has a private room. Room sizes vary according to price. Residents can interact freely with one another. A comfortable living room is part of the amenities. Cable TV and I believe Internet is available. I have found the facility clean and tidy and well maintained regardless of when I show up. The meals are well organized, wholesome and (as my mother tells me) filling. The Manor strives to keep up-to-date with health and safety regulations. (I witnessed and participated in an unannounced fire drill during one visit.) The staff is pleasant and always willing to answer questions or help in any way and provides a watchful eye on all the residents. The administrator is a very caring woman who has operated this facility for at least twenty years. She is very patient with the residents but sees that their needs are met. She is a good communicator, very professional and treats clients and their families with respect. The only drawback is there is not a lot of group activities available for residents. I understand this is a cost-driven decision, but future implementation is never out of the question. The lack of group activities doesn't seem to be a problem as the residents keep themselves busy. Nearby Keystone College sends students to the Manor occasionally to interact with residents. Overall I find the Manor to be outstanding, and highly recommend it for anyone who has an elder that requires assisted living.... Read more
