Based on my tour and talking to the owner and staff this looks like a very nice small facility. It was very clean and homey (it literally was a home). They were very friendly there and I appreciated the openness of discussion and you can sense they truly care about the folks they're taking care of. There's a nice park nextdoor and the neighborhood seems quiet. I'm seriously considering having one or both of my parents come here.

The home was a very homey place with warm and caring people running it. I would love to place my father in this home. I believe he would do very well here.

We checked my brother in to Waterbury Court Home with him being amiability and mostly able to take care of himself. We were out of town when we got a call that he had been found unconscious on the floor. He later was having hallucinations, and had to be moved to the hospital. He was not cognizant, did not know what was going on and could not express himself. When he finally became cognizant again, all he could recall was having a really bad headache for three days prior. The only thing the doctor could think of was that his medication was all messed up. We later found out that they were all out of order, and there is no telling what he was given, or when, or how much. It was a very negative experience. The food was atrocious as well. Really, everything about the experience was bad.

I placed my brother in Respite care at Waterbury Court Respite Care in Modesto after he was discharged from the hospital. When he got their he was recovering well, he was walking very well using a walker, he was alert and was interacting well with others. After 5 days he was found unconscious on the floor of his bedroom. The employee who found him described him as unconscious and unresponsive when he chose to call the home's owner rather than calling 911 as we had instructed them to do in an emergency. To make matters worse, the owner directed the employee to wait until she arrived before call 911. After she arrived she made the decision to call for assistance since my brother was still unconscious. He remained incapable of communicating with us, experiencing memory loss and he was very ill for two days. He said that for three days prior to his crisis he had been experiencing a very bad headache which is unusual for him. The doctor having studied all of my brother's test results diagnoses him as having been given the wrong medications. I would give Waterbury Court Respite Care a rating of "O".
