Legacy Hills at Poway

Legacy Hills at Poway is a magnificent 55+ independent living community designed to perfectly suit and serve your lifestyle. They provide a wide range of floor layouts to meet any housing demand, as well as an extensive list of facilities and services. They provide a one-of-a-kind living experience designed to make your life easier and more pleasant. I checked this community on purpose for my Uncle, who lives in [removed] and wants to relocate to Carlsbad to be closer to us.

I do pharmaceutical deliveries for a local, nationally branded drug store. Today I attempted a delivery to a Legacy Hills at Poway resident's apartment unit, but they did not answer their apartment door or phone. The front desk was staffed, but the attendant refused to hold the small, sealed bag of medicine for the resident, resulting in a (mandatory to me) return to the pharmacy. This was unheard of in my experience (several hundred such deliveries), which I explained. The attendant became quite defensive after admitting that it was only her second day on the job. I asked if there was medical staff on hand to take the delivery, she said she did not know "if they do that". I suggested keeping in mind the unknown urgency of the medication for the senior resident but was called rude and "having a bad day' in response, as a sarcastic tone ensued. I am a senior myself. Very disappointing. I returned the medication and reported the incident appropriately to the pharmacy.

Things are a little unsettled at the moment, this facility is now on its second director. At first i really liked how they had free laundry included, but now they have set up pay laundry. You used to only have to take your trash down to the hall, and now you have to walk it all the way outside to the dumpster, so a lot things are changing.

We are so please that the new ownership has done this and they have also brought in a new director - one that every senior living center would want [Name removed] is experienced in senior living, she is warm, compassionate, friendly, outgoing and she truly possesses a servants heart. I high recommend Legacy Hills of Poway and encourage you to take a virtual tour to get a glimpse into this quaint, tucked away gem!

I have lived here for 7 years. i would never (if possible) move. The working staff is wonderful and everyone is caring and eager to help and certainly would recommend ones coming here to live!

My mother is at Legacy Hills at Poway. It's very good, very clean and very pleasant. Everyone's very nice. I have no complaints. We're happy with it. They have social activities, sightseeing, outings, movies, bingo and a restaurant on-site. She said the food is good.

As a child living in another state, I know my mother is happy safe, and thriving. I am so grateful for the Legacy Hills community.

Some places just feel like home. Legacy Hills of Poway embraces every resident and treats them like a family member. There are numerous activities each day if one wants to participate however it also appeals to those who want to just enjoy the beauty of the surrounding area and the tranquility of the gardens.

My mom has lived at this community for 5 years. My mom has been very happy here. It's safe, clean, and the food is good. The staff are kind, caring, and friendly. There's lots of fun activities to do. During the quarantine they have done an amazing job trying to keep the residents safe and healthy. I would highly recommend to anyone!

My Mother in Law did not really like the feel of this place.

This was an independent living community. I think it was a Jewish community. It looked very nice, it was just further away from us, number one, and I felt that for the price there were not as many amenities and some other places we saw.
