I was discharged on September 9th 2022 after approximately 5 weeks of therapy and care. Although I feel the care and food were good, I am writing more so about the Therapy experience at the Church Rd location in Mount Laurel. The whole therapy team was wonderful and managed to provide me with a complete turnaround in my condition. I mainly had help from [four names removed] and looking back, I really was blessed to end up in their care. I have been in a couple of other therapies but they don't come close to the treatment I received at Laurel Brook. It's easy to see that they really care about how a patient progresses. I now receive 2 home therapists twice a week and all is going well. I'm getting around my house pretty good and I am starting to get around with a cane instead of a walker. The home therapists seem to be very good, but the therapy team at Laurel Brook are the best. I want to thank the entire team for helping me come back and get back home. Thanks everyone.... Read more

They remodeled and it's very attractive, especially, on the first floor. When you walk in they're nice and they greet you. They seemed to be short-staffed, especially at night, and it would take a long time for anyone to respond to the call bell. There were some miscommunications about my father's medical care and needs, and what they were able to provide there.

It was fairly clean. I wish there had been more communication than there was.

Some are fine and are dedicated to their work and the others are there because they have to have a job.

It is a good place for your loved one to get better but depending on your insurance, it's very expensive.

We are not happy with the nurses. They do not give my loved one the attention that she needs.

I feel like she's gotten worse since she's been there. I'd never been in a rehab and it was the first time my mother has been in a rehab and we didn't know what to expect or how things worked. There was an aide who was very nice and helped us out that first day. Some of the staff are exceptional and some are not.

My dad needed placement. We decided to tour Laurel Brook before agreeing. Thank God! It was filthy inside. The poor elderly people in memory care were herded together like cattle and placed in their wheelchairs in the small, tight hallway. They stank of urine and fecal matter. They obviously aren't kept clean. There was only one shower stall where they bathe them, but I doubt any of them are ever bathed. The OT/PT room was the size of a dining room. All three OT/PT professionals were busy doing nothing while their patients stared into space. One was on her cell. Another was staring out the window, and the third professional was staring into space while their patients were left unattended. I wanted to set all those poor elderly people free and left the place crying. Do NOT place your loved one here.

Everything is going well. My loved one likes the place she is in and the staff are nice. The food is good. She said the therapy is good. She is happy right now. I recommended it to some people at my church. They were renovating and we had her moved to another room. They were very nice about it.

I think it's great! Since my loved one has been there, every time I go for visit she is clean and fed. I think the staff are fantastic. They really take of your loved one. Like right now, I am at home and relaxed. I don't have to worry about them taking care of her. I know they are. The nurses are very helpful. They answer every question. They are checking on her every 15 minutes. The food looked okay and my mom is happy with it and she is very picky! One thing that I really enjoyed when we toured was how clean it was!

I do not have all that much to say about the time my mother was there other than she is very independent and said the staff was friendly throughout her stay. I would say that there could be more information in the beginning from the facility as far as what the family could bring to make their loved one's stay more comfortable. I got my mom checked in the bed checked in myself. I was not sure what to do in the beginning when we were dropping her off. I just felt as though I could have been informed more. She said she was treated well throughout her stay. They really made me feel comfortable leaving my mom here. They did a good job with their communication. The doctor also called me and I thought she was very very informative. She asked me questions and I felt good about it. One of the nurses' was very attentive and very professional. He took his time with the medicines and went over everything precisely.

We have been in a bunch of facilities. Both acute and sub-acute. But I happen to like Laurel Brook the best. It's well organized, clean, and it's quiet. The nurses are very pleasant and are good at their job. The lady at the front desk is a doll! She remember's everyone's name of every family member. Under the bed in my husbands room could have used a little attention. My husband likes me to bring him food. I would eat his platter, and I thought it was fine! I had no complaints! I would bring him in again if we could get him back in.

Everyone is very helpful, very friendly. It's very clean. My brother is happy there. My brother has said that the food is not bad, which is good praise from him. They've helped him out considerably with paperwork and communicate well with him.

The experience has started off well. The nurses have been excellent! My loved one has just started using the therapy services so we have only seen minimal progress there. There really hasn't been a negative experience yet or anything I could mention that they can improve. I am pleased so far, I would recommend them! The nurses have been excellent.

Everything is good and the staff treated me with respect. I have been calling to talk with my mom and she does not answer her phone. No one is answering the phone there but they may be with the patients. I have seen her eat one time there and I am okay with it. My mom ate everything. I have not gotten any updates so far and I have been calling there and I have not been able to talk with them yet. Whoever is looking after her should call the family to tell us how my mom is doing.

My loved one doesn't like the meals. We have asked someone a few times to get a TV in his room but hasn't happened yet.

There are some really great staff that are kind there. My impression of their service is good. I'm definitely glad we came to Laurel Brook. They could help him more, as my brother is not making as much progress as we had hoped by this point. Two of the staff really bend over backwards to help and make sure that my brother takes all his medications. They are doing exceedingly well and could not be any kinder. My brother is not eating and I think they could be doing more to help make sure he eats.

Everything is as best as possible. My dad did not like the food. I never knew who to talk to and I had to search for answers. When he was admitted they did not welcome us or explain things to us. I had to search them out.

We had some hiccups in the beginning, but they were straightened out relatively quickly. They've definitely been working my father, and you can see quite an improvement. They are understaffed, but he has no complaints about the care! It's a little dated, but they do their best to maintain it. Nothing to rave about, but nothing to complain about either. I haven't received any updates. All of the updates I did receive have been directly through my father.
