I was discharged on September 9th 2022 after approximately 5 weeks of therapy and care. Although I feel the care and food were good, I am writing more so about the Therapy experience at the Church Rd location in Mount Laurel. The whole therapy team was wonderful and managed to provide me with a complete turnaround in my condition. I mainly had help from [four names removed] and looking back, I really was blessed to end up in their care. I have been in a couple of other therapies but they don't come close to the treatment I received at Laurel Brook. It's easy to see that they really care about how a patient progresses. I now receive 2 home therapists twice a week and all is going well. I'm getting around my house pretty good and I am starting to get around with a cane instead of a walker. The home therapists seem to be very good, but the therapy team at Laurel Brook are the best. I want to thank the entire team for helping me come back and get back home. Thanks everyone.... Read more

If you care about someone, do not put them here! don’t follow simple ADA requests, such as writing down meds given when distributed to a patient with memory issues, responding with “I’m not making any promises”. Leave residents on the floor of the bathroom when they fall, only to be assisted by the lucky chance they had a visitor that day. When you can connect, nurses hang up when you request speaking to a charge nurse after being told they can’t help you. After not being connected with anyone to alarm of falls, emails go ignored! The staff is unable to confirm what medications they’re giving the patient after multiple requests for a medication list, only to be received after informing a lawyer will retrieve if need be. The house doctors don’t follow medication lists, tell patient doctors they will comply and then refuse to do so! skip serving residents several meals in a row even when notified, yells at patients to “wait their turn” when requesting a change after soiling themselves.

I moved here because I needed a bit of physical therapy and a place to stay until I can find a medical group home. The therapy was okay, but afterwards, I was moved to a different wing. Thereafter, none of the staff followed my doctors orders for medication administration, daily weight checks, and wound care. After reporting these issues to the umbudsman, I found that these incidents were being documented as I was instead refusing my medication and treatments. However, because of this, I am now in the hospital for Hypoxemia, and the doctors at the hospital say that, if only the nursing home would followed the doctors orders, I would not be in this predicament.

It is a little understaffed for aides. The people are all nice and I think they should be a little more attentive. The facility is very clean.

I have not been able to actually visit Laurel Brook but from speaking with my sister, it is going very well for her there. This facility really helped me in the beginning when I was trying to find out more information about my sister.

For short term, it is probably a good place but for long term, not so much. The food is not great there and they seem to be understaffed.

The wing my mother in is newer and remodeled, and the accommodations are nice. Most all the staff have been nice but I don't think they have the staff to patient ratio that they claim.

They are really short-staffed at night. Some of their aides are from an agency, so they don't have the continuing care that they should.
