October 28, 2024Dear Cheryl, Thank you so much for your kind words! We’re thrilled to hear that you appreciate our attentive staff and the improvements in our meals. It’s wonderful to know that the beautiful grounds and recent renovations have contributed to your positive experience. We’re committed to fostering a vibrant community where residents feel engaged and cared for, and it’s great to hear that you’ve noticed our efforts during activities and events. Your feedback means a lot to us, and we’re grateful to have you as part of our community!
Things have significantly gone downhill in the past few months. 90% of them are very good but I think hampered by owners and budget restrictions. Housekeeper very good but some weeks skipped. Kitchen and menu administration a disaster. Menus repeatedly wrong when items listed not available. Menu mistakes such as recently beef fajitas turned out to be chicken fajitas. They run out at a serving, example after serving 80% of residents ran out of spaghetti and meatballs. Food service usually slow, partly because of waiter personnel shortage but mainly because of kitchen. Dinner is from 5 to 6. Last night got drinks at 5:05, soup at 5:10, ordered entree at 5:35 or so and was served @ 5:55. Food usually bland, hot plate, cold pancakes e.g.

October 22, 2024Thank you for sharing your feedback with us. We’re truly sorry to hear about your recent experiences, as we strive to maintain high standards for our residents. We appreciate your compliments about our housekeeping staff and understand your frustrations regarding the kitchen and menu inconsistencies. Please know that we are actively working to address these issues, including improving communication around the menu and enhancing our food service efficiency. Your insights are invaluable, and we are committed to making the necessary changes to provide a better dining experience. If you’d like to discuss this further, please contact us directly at solutions@prioritylc.com, and I'd be happy to connect with you. Sincerely.
The last five or six months here have been pure hell. Las Palmas is in deep decline and NOTHING is being done about it. The Manager is useless, does not care about the residents, does not communicate with us, ignores us and refuses to do anything to address our concerns about the awful "food" that is slumped on our plates every day. She seems irritated every time one of us enters her office to voice our opinions or concerns. While we continuously complain to the Manager about the quality of the food and the horrific Chef, who has been kept here for far too long and needs to go, nothing is done. I'm currently looking for a new residence, as are many of my friends and neighbors here. Priority Life Care has done nothing to fix the Management problems and the Kitchen problems yet they are fully aware of the situation, as many of us have complained directly to Corporate Officers on numerous occasions. Sadly, our complaints fall on deaf ears.

Don’t move there! Food isn’t good and often run out with residents going to bed hungry Manager lies and treats you with no respect and when confronted she gets very upset! If you love a parent don’t put them there to live! Three months of pure hell !

Response from Las Palmas by Sky Active Living
November 29, 2023Ron, We are so sorry to hear about your experience at our community at Las Palmas. As you may know, we just took over this community. We are trying to change the processes, methods and services of the previous management company. Part of that is to change the old culture that have not been taken too well by the residents. We have implemented many new programs to resolve and improve the current situation, most importantly the culinary side of things. Our corporate director of culinary services has spoken to the chefs and has implemented menu changes, process of cooking, serving methods and many more aspects of our culinary services at the community. We promise you that this is being worked on both at the corporate level and as well as the community level. We will also make sure that your comments are shared with the rest of the culinary team members, so the changes are implemented at the community level. Thank you for sharing your thoughts. Your feedback will help us speed up those changes that we have promised. Sincerely!
We took a tour of Sky Active Las Palmas during our search for a facility for our loved one. This facility was great! The cleanliness and friendliness were great. The staff and overall atmosphere seemed great. We didn't have a meal, but the food smelled fantastic!

stear clear. the food is terrible and the sane staff that are cleaning the residences are also overworked and serving cafeteria style meals. there are no “chef-prepared” meals it’s garbage food and disappointing to say the least

August 14, 2023Sam, we appreciate your feedback. I’ve shared your review with the General Manager and she would be happy to speak to you directly about the concerns you’ve shared. Our Executive Chef is also open to your feedback on the menu and happy to speak with you, as well. If you need further assistance, I’m available at CustomerService@AtriaSeniorLiving.com.
Thin wood between floors, you hear everything from the apartment above you, the woman in [removed] let's her 2 grandchildren run back and for and jump for hours every week in the evening after Las Palmas management leaves. The sound is ridiculous, like a heard of elephants on top of you, the level of inconsisderation is shocking. I politely asked the woman who lives in [removed] to stop and she told me it's her home and she can do whatever she wants, and that the assistant manager told her it was ok. The assistant manager not only ignored my pleas for help she had the audacity to suggest I should exchange phone numbers with the woman above me and call her and beg her to stop everytime it happens! that's the definition of gaslighting. The rent is $[removed]per month plus a huge non refundable fee to move in, way to much for zero support from management. I have been forced to call the police and request an officer and file a noise complaint since management at las palmas refuses to do anything about it.

June 1, 2023Theresa, thanks for taking the time to reach out about your experience. I have shared your review with the General Manager and Regional Vice President. They’d be happy to speak with you directly about this situation. I’m also available at CustomerService@AtriaSeniorLiving.com.
Mom came here seven months ago from another independent facility where the people, rules and general atmosphere were much less desirable. She loves Las Palmas and the people here. Staff acts like family and are responsive. The food is good, the grounds have beautiful trees and walking paths with a big lake in back. There are lots of activities, games, exercise, chair volleyball , chapel, salon and endless opportunity to interact with the friendly residents if you desire. There are many types of living arrangements available to fit all budgets. I am so happy we found this place. She loves it! They are redecorating inside… it will be even nicer now, and modernized, but the past decor was also very elegant!

My husband and I moved to Las Palmas in 2010. Then, I thought this place was everything I wanted (good food, a swimming pool, all that I had left). I've seen it all decline. Poor food quality, poor food preparation and presentation. I went to the pool yesterday and the water isn't heated anymore. I'm feeling disappointed and frustrated because our cost goes up, but services are less. I'm not getting what I pay for at all.
Response from Las Palmas by Sky Active Living
December 15, 2022Wanda, thank you for sharing these concerns. We value having you and your husband in our community. We appreciate your patience while the pool heater was repaired. The work was just completed, and we expect pool temperatures to be back to normal soon. I have been a Las Palmas resident for 8 months. I am 84. I'm very happy here. The staff is outstanding - always concerned about my well-being, always very helpful. There are many social activities to keep you as busy as you want to be. I've made many new friends. Las Palmas is my home now and I'm very glad to be living here. My cat loves it, too! My house plants are thriving!

My mom is very happy. It took her about two months for her to feel okay and settled in. Moving is always stressful at first, but she's starting to enjoy it. She's making friends and gets to meet new people. It's a little like high school where everybody has their own little cliques. The apartment is a good size for her, and she likes it.

Wonderful community. Very clean, organized and friendly. The staff is exceptional. I feel very comfortable knowing my parents are in such a caring facility. Only thing to work on is the food, which can be spotty.
