The administration lies through there teeth to people .My Grandma was put in this place by a relative they treated her side of family good but the rest of us when we went to see our dying grandma they would make us feel real uncomfortable almost like we were criminals. . Pulling us into confress room lying about hours and number of people on visitation. My Grandma loved her whole family and wanted all around her but her POA was on a power trip and they backed her 100 ?? would not listen to what my Grandmother wanted . I would not recommend this place to my worst enemy

My Grandmother moved into Kingsington for the last month of her life and it was awful. The staff didn't get to know her and her needs. They violated the State of Oregon's visitor policies for long term living facilities and resident rights by refusing our family to visit with her. She ended up passing away completely alone, with no loved ones surrounding her.

The facility was clean and new, the manager promised (lied) to us that no matter what added care my Mother would need it would all just be taken care of. At the time it was the last week in April, and they encouraged us to move her in right away, however they charged us for the entire month of April stating they didn't pro-rate. The first few months went ok, other than the fact that my Mother was always dressed in other people's torn and stained clothing and not her own new items. During the height of summer, they allowed her to sit in her pajamas with sweat running all down her without giving her water to rehydrate. Long story short, she was hospitalized due to being dehydrated and infection in her legs from being left to sit too long. When the hospital discharged her, Kinsington told us that my Mother's health issues were too much for them to handle but her ONLY issues were those that they created. DONT TRUST THEM!

We put my dad in this facility, because it is a nice place and very clean ,but I believe that the staff, special the med tech person or the vocational nurse needs more experience , or maybe it will be better that they will hire a registry nurse on duty, my dad had heart problems and we gave them a medicine call nitroglycerin for his needs , we found out that the day he was brought to the hospital because my sister found him unresponsive in his bed , he told some of the staff that he was having chest pain , and nothing absolutely was done , I’m a nurse in LA and is common sense when someone is haven chest pain it needs a immediate attention. We understand that eventually one day he was going to pass , but we were planning to celebrate his birthday and Christmas with all the family together. I hope it won’t happen to others , I advise the facility to please train and hired people with more experience, because we put our love ones in their hands .

We chose Kinsington Oak Grove because they had an opening immediately when we needed it. They are very good people and they worked hard to get in quickly and they went above and beyond to help us move in. It is a very nice and clean facility. If I call they respond immediately, they do the best that they can. They do not have transportation to get people to and from the hospital. They built isolation places so people do not mix as much as I would like to see. If they could mix with the other residents that would be great. I just wish it were a more open place because she is having a harder time making friends.

Kinsington Oak Grove is a great place. They treat her very well and she absolutely loves it here, especially all of the staff. They really care about each individual and their likes and dislikes instead of treating them as a whole group. and that really impressed me. They have an evaluation sheet that they fill out for each of the residents and send it to the family. From administration down they have all been amazing and are so good with the residents and treat my mother the way I would treat her and how I would want to be treated. I would absolutely recommend them to others.

A Place for Mom has scored Kinsington Oak Grove 5.2 out of 10 using our proprietary review score.
We assign review scores to give a more reliable view into senior living communities and home care agencies. Our review scores prioritize reviews that are recent — the past 24 months — because we know families need current information when choosing senior care.
Those with many recent, positive reviews receive a high review score, while providers with few recent reviews — regardless of how positive — receive a lower review score. Communities with no recent reviews will not have a review score, even if older reviews are positive. The maximum A Place for Mom review score a community can receive is 10 points.
