Both of my parents were in the facility. My mother in memory care and didn't get along with her roommate and they wouldn't accommodate us by moving her in with another resident with the same issue. My father was blind and they would set his food on the table and not tell him it was there, as they were to feed him. It took forever to get assistance as he needed to go to the restroom. We were under the impression by staff that my parents would move to an assisted living room together. My father needed medication for a procedure as they were to call me if their pharmacy was able to get it for the next day. No one called to tell me that they were able to get it and after multiple calls to find out. no returned call. I picked it up from my pharmacy and come to find out they did get it from their pharmacy. They didn't refund me for my purchase for the meds. I moved them as soon as I could and took several moths to get my refunded rent and never received my out of pocket cost.

I've been trying to get my sister a Covid shot here for months without success. Imagine a building full of highly vulnerable people who can't get a widely available vaccine in a pandemic. Shameful! And frustrating.

My wife has stage 4 breast cancer, has lost a breast, had a hip replacement, 2 replacement vertrebrae , spine stabilization and receiving aggressive chemo therapy. She went to the hospital for blood clots and edema so severe that her feet busted open. I transferred her here for recovery and get beyond total care so that she can come home. In the first 4 days, her breakfast was 4 hours late, a supper that was never delivered and an event where she hit the call button 3 times spanning an hour to get help and none of the staff showed up. A technician on routine duties ended up helping her. On top of that, the staff are rude and will barely acknowledge your existence. This place is touted as a top tier care facility but I am definitely not getting my money's worth. at [price removed]/day before insurance. I feel sorry for patients and family alike that entrust the care of a loved one here. And who knows how the care spirals downward after visiting hours.

It's not as modern of a place, but they've been there a long time, and they know what they're doing. I would send people here. It's a very nice place. My loved one liked the food. They were really great about security, which was important. They really went out of their way to be nice to my loved one. And he could be a handful sometimes, so they were great with him. He knew everybody, and everybody knew him. He really enjoyed sitting down for meals with his veteran friends, talking and reminiscing with them. For the service St. Mary's provided, it was great for the money.

My husband was there for only about three days. He had dementia and of course he did act out when he was first there. Obviously these people do not know how to care for people like this. They kicked him out after only a few days. Of course, that just added to his confusion and agitation. I would not put anyone I loved there - EVER

Use to be great but since new management took over several years ago it is going down hill steadily. Watch out for this place. Staff is unhappy making everyone unhappy which reflects on care given.

My mother has been in the long term care portion of this facility for almost a year. She suffers short term memory loss and has a very difficult time answering the telephone. The staff is amazing. If I call once and let it ring a few times and then hang up and call back a few minutes later, the staff is always right there to answer the telephone for her. There is nothing more important to my Mom's quality of life than the telephone and her connection to the people in her life who live too far away to visit regularly. Thank you!

My grandma was in this nursing home for Rehab for a fracture. She left this facility much worse than she was when she went in. My grandma got an infection that they let go for 10 days before they decided to treat her all because the nursing staff was too lazy to collect a specimen. This cdiff infection caused my grandma to become very weak and dehydrated. They didn't seem to care that she had diarrhea and not eating or 10 days (at least). I tried talking to staff and management nobody would return my call nobody seemed to care. I work in healthcare I know the symptoms and finally demanded a hat to get the specimen myself. Now my grandma is back in the hospital fighting for her life. It totally wiped her out!

Service is slipping. In last 4 months staffing problems abound. Twenty to thirty minute response time to call buttons in long term care area. Residents left alone in dining area after meals asleep in their wheelchairs.

We might have considered this community but they don't offer single room occupancy you had to share a room and that would not have worked with my mother in law. However, we found the staff to be nice and informative. The community seemed clean and fresh. There really wasn't any need to gather more information since the community could not provide what we needed.

This was one of my top choices of communities that I had toured for my mother. They had a very nice facility and all of the staff where very friendly during my visit. The building was much older then the other ones but that is not the main thing that made us choose another facility. There was no long term program available and all of the rooms where shared that I had looked at. They did not have any single rooms and my mom would not have liked to have to share with someone else.

A Place for Mom has scored Ignite Medical Resort St Mary's 5.3 out of 10 using our proprietary review score.
We assign review scores to give a more reliable view into senior living communities and home care agencies. Our review scores prioritize reviews that are recent — the past 24 months — because we know families need current information when choosing senior care.
Those with many recent, positive reviews receive a high review score, while providers with few recent reviews — regardless of how positive — receive a lower review score. Communities with no recent reviews will not have a review score, even if older reviews are positive. The maximum A Place for Mom review score a community can receive is 10 points.
