My mom was a resident for almost five years at House of Hope. I was very pleased with the care she received. She felt safe in her own 'apartment' and the core staff were long-term and consistent. ([removed] and other nursing staff were like family.) What was especially comforting was that mom could transition through higher levels of care for dementia, and into hospice, without leaving the same apartment she knew and was familiar with at House of Hope. Not having to move mom to various facilities with her having to adjust and readjust to new surroundings and new people was a blessing. The facilities are very clean, the grounds are beautiful and there are many activities for the residents. I visited mom at least weekly (or more frequently) - various days of the week, day time and night time - and I always felt save in the neighborhood. There were never any worries or concerns. There is a Walgreen's in the neighborhood I frequented to pick up items for mom - and I felt safe there too. The decision to move mom to House of Hope was one I will never regret.... Read more

My husband was impressed with this community when he toured it. The place is beautiful and the grounds are well maintained. The only thing he did not like was the neighborhood. He knew his mom would be safe, however he did have concern for the people visiting her.

Things at House of Hope are going really well. I would rate the friendliness a 6 if I could. The nursing care is great. He has panic attacks and they help him so well with that. The location is not very convenient but that's not anything they can help. We need more places like this in Iowa would be my only complaint.

My husband is only 64. It has been hard to find activities he is willing to participate in. The staff are wonderful and very helpful. They are willing to try new things and open to suggestions to help in the transition from home to House of Hope.

Very easy move in and adjustment to new routines for my mom. Especially helpful and seems to be keeping my mom comfortable, safe, and meeting her needs.

Helpful sales associate, dated property in need of some repair. Staff seemed attentive to Tennant's.

This was a good community that was conveniently located for our family. They are setup as private apartments so we did not like that. The director here was very good and helpful. There is no odor in this community. Just did not seem like the right fit for our loved one. Overall it was a good community.
