This is a wonderful place! They have friendly people with excellent care and there isn't much that needs improving. The community could improve on the food variety and the ability to assist with dietary restrictions more.

Please don’t send any loved ones to Horizons assisted living facility in Cananadaigua! They will promise you the world only to kick your loved one out after 5 months. They did a full evaluation of my dad prior to accepting him, and had a report from a rehab center. Also I was very transparent with them about all his issues. They said no problem, we can work with him. This past Sunday after my dad fell and was sent to the hospital, the director had a nurse call me and say they refuse under no circumstances to let him back in. I understand places are short staffed, I get that but don’t let us think it’s going to be a great place for him, where he will he taken care of, only to treat him this way. A week before Christmas they told me I had 30 days to get him out of there and find him a nursing home, which I applied to over 10 places , but wasn’t enough.

My grandmother lives here and she absolutely loves the Community. She has made so many friends and the staff feels like family to her (& to us). I am very happy with our choice to have her in a safe place where she is taken care of.

Our experience with Horizons has been a very good one! The staff here is friendly and professional, and they really cater to the needs of the residents! They're always right there to help if anything comes up! The facility itself is clean and well kept, and they've got a lot to provide for the people who live here. They also do a good jbo with the food!

Price too high. $ 3700.00. Only have rooms not apartment type environment. What I was told on the phone. Did not even ask if I wanted a tour. I was asked if parent suffered from uncontrolled bladder or bowels. If so would not be accepted when I told her that was not the case that my parent did not have that problem she still wanted some conformation from social worker at rehab place my parent was in at this time. I'm not interested in this place First impression was not a good one. Plus I called twice and it took a week to return my call. Can't rate actuall looks of property because a tour never happened.
