My loved one moved from the Vineyard 1 year ago to the day. He was at the vineyard 8 mos. The Vineyard was great. I wouldn't hesitate to refer anybody there, but it wasn't for him. He didn't like eating in the dining room. He doesn't socialize well it was out of his comfort zone. He complained about the cost almost daily and that is the reason I moved him but to me the cost was reasonable The staff was nice attentive knew him by name. The resident couldn't have been any friendlier. They even had a couple show him around and take him to the dining room for the first few weeks after the second week he refused to go to the dining room and I was buying groceries for him, which wouldn't fit in the small refrigerator, he could only wheel his wheelchair and had to back up into the kitchen because it was small. Other than that. Everything was fine. He should've been able to adjust but he did not but he's not happy anywhere.... Read more

We have lived at Vineyard Place for over 2 years. We have made a lot of friends and really like the ease of being able to get to know our neighbors. The staff is friendly and willing to help you. We have a new chef and the food is very good. The variety of outings gives you a choice of adventures to do and learn about our area. Come and visit us.

I am living at Vineyard Place and it is wonderful. The staff did everything possible to accommodate my needs to reside here and the staff, all the staff continues to shine! They appear to truly care about us and do everything possible to meet our needs/wants; always friendly and cheerful. A full remodel that is almost done makes our place appear almost new. Rooms and common space were all done. Meals are wonderful andextremely well prepared. A place for mom assisyed me in finding this facility snd I am very thankful it is a great place and for a plus is near about every convenience.

Vineyard place was a nightmare. I would never recommend it. The list is so long... it was a major disappointment...management was poor.. staff for the most part unfriendly to unkind.. during her time there the bus was broken down or they had no bus driver so no excursions.. I had to drive her to store etc..in aug they started a remodel most activities were canceled...for last 5mo the system was broken.. food was bland and unappealing.. snacks and fruits rarely available.. mother was without heat during the last freeze for 10days.. it was 4days before the maintenance man brought her a portable heater...and to add insult to injury they raised her rent almost [amount removed]!!!

I am still not happy here but I decided to stay. It's easier to just stay in my room like l live in an apartment by myself. Even with eating and fixing my own meals and cleaning my own room. It's still cheaper to stay here for now. Can't believe the cost of things now and the cost of staying in these places. I don't know how long God will keep me here and I'm by myself. I would tell others don't believe everything you are told by the management. Ask some of the resident's instead.
The staff members are friendly and very helpful . Our mother has only been there a short time and we have no other experience to compare to so we cannot rate the care services. I am a pescatarian so I find the menu lacking...mother seems to be happy and that's what counts. When it comes to the activities, again mothers hasn't really moved in yet only staying a couple nights a week at this point..so she hasn't participated in any activities as yet. For the value we cannot rate it, sorry I don't have an answer...seems high price to me, but was less than other places, guess it depends on how much mother participates. If she feels safe that's very valuable...again time will tell. We love the view in the dining hall! I have already told others about Vineyard place and A Place for Mom..I think the service you provide is invaluable! I truly appreciate your help!!

Response from Holiday Vineyard Place
July 11, 2023It is our pleasure to treat each and every one of our residents like family at Holiday Vineyard Place. We appreciate your kind compliments!
Well, as soon as I indicated that I was not able to move into their facility, they became quite cold and were not at all communitive. In fact, if they had of reimbursed me, at least part of the deposit, I would have moved in, and if they had of remained at least friendly during the process, I am moved into an Astra location in Newburg add would certainly have reconsidered moving into when your place because of his location however, it is what it is

May 10, 2023Robert, thanks for reaching out to share your experience. I’ve shared your review with our Regional Vice President, and he would be happy to speak with you directly. If you email me your contact information to CustomerService@AtriaSeniorLiving.com I’ll be happy to get you in touch.
I do not recommend this place. I would recommend it only if the person is 65 years old or older and has no significant trauma or problems with memory. I would say that the punitive system for dealing with problems is non-beneficial when it involves isolating people in their rooms for inappropriate behaviors. There are other avenues that are much more helpful.

For the price, the food is ranges from acceptable to awful. If I relied on Vineyard food alone, my health would decline. Welltower is a huge corporation that bought Holiday Vineyard Place in 2022, but keeps that secret from the staff & residents. Atria manages it badly. The once homey, warm Vineyard Place is now being transformed into a cold hotel. Many long time residents are leaving. Seems Welltower only cares about $$. Personally, I don't know how the wonderful staff here keeps their smiles while serving us so well. They are amazing.

April 10, 2023Lucile, thanks for reaching out with your feedback. I’ve shared your review with the General Manager and she would be happy to speak with you directly and address your concerns. I’m also available at CustomerService@AtriaSeniorLiving.com.
The only complaint, that my loved one has is that they only have one maintenace person, and it takes awhile to handle requests. They check on people, if they know that they are not going down for meals. They do housekeeping once per week. It's an old building but they keep it fairly updated. They are all friendly. They are always very attentive. My loved one does not really like the food, but they have a new chef, so hopefully it gets better. Compared to other facilities, the value for the money is reasonable, considering that they offer three meals per day.

My mother was a resident at Vineyard Place for 1 year. On the 1-year anniversary, Atria jacked up her rent by $357 per month! Many residents have had to leave or move into smaller units. It's put a real hardship on the senior residents and has been sad to see. Since Atria took over, they've also cut services. The staff has been nice but the new management company is profit hungry. The entire building has to share 4 washing machines. It's a nightmare trying to get a machine for laundry and there are frequent issues with it. There are constant issues with the bus service and only minimal short outings.

Response from Holiday Vineyard Place
February 6, 2023Monica, thanks for taking the time to share your experience. Please know our rate adjustments are looked at carefully each year and are based on a number of factors, including increased operational expenses – like labor costs, wages, benefits, taxes, insurance – and the increased costs of goods and services. I see that our General Manager has already met with you to discuss these concerns, and I have also made our Regional Vice President aware. If you have any additional feedback, please contact us at CustomerService@AtriaSeniorLiving.com.
My uncle loves it here. He really loves the location, it is close to a lot of places. The only complaint is the food is not so great, it is cold when it is served and they put too many seasonings in their egg salad. I noticed when they had salmon, they did not have tartar sauce. They said they ran out so residents did not get any. He eats out a lot The staff is wonderful, they are all very nice and we love them. The manager goes above and beyond for the residents. I would definitely recommend Vineyard Place to other families.

I recently contacted this community while looking at options for my grandmother. I loved the community and met lots of friendly residents. [name removed] the Sales Manager was wonderful and so pleasant to work with. She was very knowledgeable, answered all of our questions, and went above and beyond during her time with us.

A Place for Mom has scored Holiday Vineyard Place 8.4 out of 10 using our proprietary review score.
We assign review scores to give a more reliable view into senior living communities and home care agencies. Our review scores prioritize reviews that are recent — the past 24 months — because we know families need current information when choosing senior care.
Those with many recent, positive reviews receive a high review score, while providers with few recent reviews — regardless of how positive — receive a lower review score. Communities with no recent reviews will not have a review score, even if older reviews are positive. The maximum A Place for Mom review score a community can receive is 10 points.
