Rent is going up and no one can tell us how much; three managers in a year; no tv for 2 months; no cleaning for 2 months. I cannot recommend River's Edge until they get a consistent management team in there.

My sister absolutely loves River's Edge but does not like the food. They need a real chef. She says the food makes her sick. The food can really make or break a place. I probably would not recommend them until they get a new chef.
Apt overpriced bate and switch prolonged construction agonizing bugs galore food not fit to eat but some improvements manager non ,existent had snake in my room another in hallway, its more a jail not allowed to keep rollators with us in dining many eat in rooms, fleas, roaches, flies in food, excuses high turnover staff and residents staff overworked underpaid not happy, it's supposed to be independent living but when you take your rollator away you take their independence people not happy but mgmt says take it or leave it, I expect many more to leave if possible cannot recommend hoping things change for the best

My loved ones room rarely gets cleaned. They really need to have security at night. Unfortunately, they don't have enough staff and therefore many activities are canceled/nonexistent. Also, the dining room servers are very rude!

I would recommend the facility. We picked it because of a comparison of cost, services, and location. It worked out well. The biggest issue was with the staffing. There was a high turnover rate during this period, apparently due to internal problems, conflicts, etc, and many issues fell between the cracks. Dropped balls were common. All of the staff that we dealt with were great. It was the behind the scenes issues that were problematic.

My loved one is currently a resident at Holiday River's Edge and everything at this facility has been great for her so far. It's a very good facility and everyone there is very friendly. The care services, activities, meals and value for cost are great! I'm very happy with our choice and my loved one is happy, too. I would recommend Holiday River's Edge to others!

My loved one is currently a resident at Holiday River's Edge and the his experience at this facility has been overall good so far. The staff and the meals are very appreciated. The TV hookup has been difficult, but that is not the staff's fault. The provider is not the fastest. Overall, my loved one is very happy at Holiday River's Edge and I would recommend this facility to others.

I was invited by the Activities Director, [name removed], to play the piano for residents during the lunch hour a few years ago. The piano is a Yamaha Clavinova. It is in superb condition. I've played for residents in a dozen similar facilities and can enthusiastically say the Rivers Edge piano is by far the best! Unfortunately, the Rivers Edge residents were not pleased with me. Just goes to show they have exceptionally good musical taste!!

I toured this facility, it was an older facility. Staff was not reassuring of the quality of care we would be getting for the money. I believe it has a lot to do with that property is in ownership transition. The property is of poor quality. Would not recommend unless money played a big role in the family decision making.

Our tour at Holiday River's Edge was great. It was just not the place for my mom. They didn't have the personal outdoor space we felt was necessary for her. And it was also an older facility.
Our family had an in person tour and we absolutely love the River's Edge, the staff we spoke with were incredible
River's Edge is a great facility, they are just having some upper management staffing issues. The wait staff and the people who clean the rooms have been so kind and helpful. The facility itself is also very beautiful. They did just get bought out by someone and supposedly they have just hired a new executive director, so we are hoping to see some improvements. It really is a great place if they can getting the upper management figured out.

March 30, 2022Thanks for taking time to share your experience. If you'd like to talk more, please feel free to email us at Feedback@HolidaySeniorLiving.com.
Our tour at River's Edge was awful. The smell hit you as soon as you walked in the door, just a vile, moldy, urine smell. The staff was not cordial at all. They were late and didn't have their paperwork together. They took me to see a nasty, roach-infested room that was already occupied by a resident. It was just awful.

January 25, 2022Chiquita, we value your feedback River’s Edge. We have shared your comments with local and regional leadership and are available directly at feedback@holidayseniorliving.com if you have future concerns.
At first our experience would of been 5 stars, however after moving our loved one in and after a few months have passed we are having some issues. They were very responsive in the beginning and very nice when you spoke with them in person, however right now it is hard to get a clear picture of what is going on. The communication at times is lacking and they have all these great ideas and promises but no follow through.

I give them a good rating. The staff is very, very nice. I think it's a nice place for someone who needs to be in some type of retirement living. Just being around other people I think is good for my loved one. He enjoys the activities. The apartments are very nice. They have their own kitchen, so residents can cook in their own place if they want to. The cost is reasonable, especially with three meals a day provided.

From the beginning all the way to the last day he was here, the staff were amazing. They had an aid who was able to come in and that really helped to ease our mind. He absolutely loved the food and the variety that they offered, he has a special and they were accommodating to that as well. They have a van that takes residents to and from doctors appointments which was a great asset for us since I live far away. He was not able to participate, but from what I saw they had a lot of activities provided for residents and they kept them busy and entertained. It is worth every penny knowing your loved ones are taken care of. It was a great experience and I would highly recommend to others looking.

A Place for Mom has scored Holiday River's Edge 8.4 out of 10 using our proprietary review score.
We assign review scores to give a more reliable view into senior living communities and home care agencies. Our review scores prioritize reviews that are recent — the past 24 months — because we know families need current information when choosing senior care.
Those with many recent, positive reviews receive a high review score, while providers with few recent reviews — regardless of how positive — receive a lower review score.
