My parents were in need of a place they could feel at home. They are doing very well in the two months they have been at Solista. It is a huge relief to see them thriving. They often refer to their apartment as "our house."... Read more

My mother, [name removed] was one of the first residents at Pinecrest. I have continued to visit since she passed away. I love Pinecrest. The people that I know that live there are great people. When Mom lived there, the recreation director planned many wonderful activities that was very important to mom.

This is a good place for me at this stage in my life! I have meals, usually good, and a safe environment to live in. Also, some activities that I enjoy and find good friends that I can spend time with. Also, helpful and kind workers here!

Unfortunately Pinecrest is an administrative nightmare! The suite that we rented took 2 months to be completed. The community fee is ridiculously high, $7500 and with all that said, my relative is being billed for $12,000 for 2.5 months rent in for a guest room because her room wasn’t completed. The management has refused to adjust the bill, refused to accept any responsibility, needless to say these actions caused a downturn in the health of the resident. We had to seek a new residence (expedited) and start on a new path of recovery.

Pinecrest is a beautiful place but not suited for anyone with dementia. Even though we were told they had people with dementia there and could handle it I spent a month there with my dad because he wouldn’t sleep at night. There were days when his only meal was a half of a sandwich and soup. That is not adequate for some of these people. My biggest problem is they have no security at this place. There are a lot of seniors and some are disabled. They need security there.

Response from Holiday Pinecrest
January 4, 2019Hi Anita, we're disappointed to hear of the negative experience you had at our location. Our residents are served 3 meals a day in the dining room and meals can be delivered to residents for an additional fee. The community doors are locked at night when the last member of management leave in the evening. Residents have a lock card to let them in the building and that is the only way to enter the building in the evening. Residents also have a device that can put them in touch with emergency services 24/7. We appreciate you bringing this experience to our attention. If you are willing, please contact us at [removed] so we can work towards a resolution. We look forward to hearing from you.
This is a wonderful place and I'm glad that A Place for Mom helped me find it. My mom is very happy here.

A delightful place and close to relatives. I could enjoy living there. Everything is well organized. There is only a kitchenette but small additions could make it very usable. The biggest problem is the availability of apartments.

I really enjoyed my tour of this community. It was a very good experience, and everything. My tour guy was very kind, and informative. He was helpful, and answered all my questions were answered. Unfortunately we needed more of an assisted living community, and this is more of a retirement community.

Mom loves living at Pinecrest. She said she is content and I feel comfortable with her living her. The entire staff are friendly. The food is good and the community is well maintained. Mom is enjoying the activities and I would recommend this community.

I had a gentlemen call me a couple times to go over the detail of what they offer. This community was too far from my other family. We needed to find a convenient location for everyone. They were professional and gave reliable answers. They were excellent at getting back at me.

A Place for Mom has scored Holiday Pinecrest 9.5 out of 10 using our proprietary review score.
We assign review scores to give a more reliable view into senior living communities and home care agencies. Our review scores prioritize reviews that are recent — the past 24 months — because we know families need current information when choosing senior care.
Those with many recent, positive reviews receive a high review score, while providers with few recent reviews — regardless of how positive — receive a lower review score. Communities with no recent reviews will not have a review score, even if older reviews are positive. The maximum A Place for Mom review score a community can receive is 10 points.
