My loved one is currently a resident at Holiday Madrona Hills and everything has been great for her at this facility. The cleanliness and friendliness are great. I've found the staff to be very polite. The thing that really made us like them is their willingness to help my loved one with anything that would make the move in transition easy and anything that she may need in the future. I would recommend Holiday Madrona Hills to family and friends.

The staff members are super friendly, and when we were first looking into it and when our loved ones moved in we were living out of state so they were super helpful setting up zoom sessions for us. With covid the meals and dining service and even the activities can be a hit or miss. It seems like when the dining hall is open the meals are good and when its shut down they aren't the best. Based on our family's experience so far we would recommend this community to other families.

Very nice-good food and support. Family atmosphere
Options include organized group activities each day in addition to three meals on the dining room outside dining is beautiful when the sunshine is out. Weekly housekeeping services are what I find most luxurious at this time of my life.
I'm glad to be at a place that gives me a felling of security and comfort with like neightbors who care about you and how we are doing. It's a good place to be at and I'm so glad I'm here.

Service has been very good. The staff is helpful and friendly. As far as I know Madrona is the best value in Salem. Madrona Hills has been good with transportation to medical appointments as well as shopping.

We've had a great experience here. The staff are really friendly. And they have gone out of their way to help me a few times with things that I haven't been able to cover for mom. I don't worry about her while she's there because I know they've got her. Which is a big deal for me. The facility is pretty good, no complaints. The food looks pretty good as well, but the portion sizes seem a little small.

Based on my virtual tour, I thought Madrona Hills was a really nice place. It would have been my first choice, but my loved one was concerned about the cost. Yes, money is a factor, but I was looking for a place that would be best for her long-term. It was a beautiful facility, and the rooms were very nice and spacious. I don't think the fridge was full size, but it was bigger than the ones I saw at other facilities, and there was room to bring in a little cooktop, etc.
We were not impressed with Madrona Hills. It looked drab, and dirty in some regards. The location was bad, on a hillside. And we would have preferred a park-like setting.
Response from Holiday Madrona Hills
August 11, 2021Hello and thank you for your feedback. We regret to hear that you were not pleased with the community and its cleanliness as we have housekeepers cleaning and sanitizing daily. We do wish you luck in your search and hope you find a community that fits your needs.
I looked at some other places and Madrona Hills was the one that I liked the best after touring. I would tell others if you come to visit, you will know all that you need to know about the facility. I would highly recommend to others looking.

The staff members would get 6-stars, they are very good there. We have been invited on multiple occasions for lunch and dinner and we have been very pleased. They do a great job with the meals and the dining service. The activities seem great to us, there is a bus service that takes our loved one to the casino because she loves to gamble. They have a number of gatherings for holidays - July 4th they had a BBQ, and now they are getting ready for Christmas in July. So there are plenty of things for residents to partake in at Madrona Hills.

We went with Madrona Hills because they offered a large apartment, it has a lot of space and it very nice. They provide 3 meals a day as well as house keeping services. The setting of the facility is beautiful, the grounds are managed well and there are a lot of surrounding trees. I would highly recommend to others looking.

Some of the workers don't know what the other workers are doing, there is a lack of communication between them. It seems the workers don't know what the management teams has done. They hide this by saying it is for confidentiality. I think they could do a better job with letting residents know who contracted the COVID19 virus. I don't think the food is all that great. The portions are random and not the same each time. The food is being delivered due to the pandemic. The food is cafeteria style. I'm told this is a more moderately priced community.

Our experience so far has been really good, and they are doing the best they can given the circumstances. They are still doing small activities, I like to participate in the bible studies and my wife likes to do her own things. It is a great place to live, the staff are very friendly and really go out of their way for you. They do a great job keening up with apartments whether that is cleaning or maintenance, and anytime you need help with something they are their right away.

They are doing some hallway activities for the residents, and I have a really nice individual apartment separate from the main building. Madrona Hills just fit me perfectly and they allowed me to bring my two dogs with, the only issue would be the parking.

I think the value is good at this facility, however, there is no internet in the rooms, and cell service is bad. They don't like food, not enough veggies and its poor quality. overall I would recommend this facility to others.

The residents have been getting bored and restless. The quality of food wasn't there due to delivering meals to the residents, due to COVID. All I heard from the residents was complaints over the food. I'm not sure if there was a limitations and needing to follow corporate guidelines. Post COVID the community was particular about following the safety protocols. I think they could have been better at providing stimulation/activities for the residents. Madrona Hills has gotten particular about the safety and cleanliness to keep COVID out of their community. I feel the price should have been dropped or a refund given due to the community not being able to offer all the amenities offered that was in the contract.
