Holiday Cedar Woods

I was attracted to them because of the access for me and my brother it was half way point for me from the north and my brother from the south of ct and easy to get to from the highway. [name removed] the manager was great she kind of sold us on the place. I don't believe she is still their. My mom now resides at [name removed] rehab and nursing. Fantastic people their I would recommend anyone who needs a nursing home to use them.

Having lived at Cedar Woods for over two years, I can confidently say it feels like home. The community here is truly amazing everyone is friendly and welcoming, creating a warm atmosphere that makes daily life enjoyable. The kitchen staff consistently provide delicious meals, and the office staff is always ready to assist with any questions or needs I have. Their helpfulness really enhances the experience of living here. I've made countless friends during my time here, and the sense of camaraderie is unmatched. I appreciate the opportunities to engage in activities like setting up mass with Father Michael and participating in the garden club, which allows me to express my love for gardening. Additionally, I enjoy having the freedom to furnish my apartment as I like, and it’s great to have my plants with me. My bingo team adds to the fun and sense of community. Overall, I feel truly happy and blessed to call Cedar Woods my home

I've been a resident at Cedar Woods for a month, and I absolutely love living here! The staff is wonderful and very accommodating, and the residents are incredibly friendly. I adore my apartment, and the breakfast here is amazing! I would highly recommend Cedar Woods to anyone looking for a great place to live

My husband and I have been residents at Cedar Woods for eight years through two owners: Holiday and Holiday by Atria. Currently, under Holiday by Atria, (2 1/2 yrs.) our personal satisfaction has dwindled in many areas. We have had personnel changes at more than 60%, we have gone from fresh, executive chef prepared meals, to no-chef prepared meals. Instead we are offered processed, frozen, bulk prepared items for lunch and dinner. Breakfast includes eggs of choice, frozen waffles and pancakes, diced fruit, toast/muffin, cold/hot cereal, along with bacon, sausage, ham slice. Few/no, healthy choices are offered. We pay for 3 meals a day. Many bring their own food to meals just to enjoy the company of others. Right now, I would rate Cedar Woods, Holiday by Atria, very low. The residents are great, the location is convenient, our resident transportation is very good. We need serious, caring, as-advertised attention to these issues and restore Cedar Woods to its former self.

Based on a recommendation from “A Place for Mom” I recently had the opportunity to take a tour of Cedar Woods senior living community in Branford. I found it to be one of the very best. The apartments were roomy, light and airy and the amenities were plentiful. I would highly recommend this community and I would highly recommend “A Place for Mom”, as they are so very helpful!

I recently toured Cedar Woods and when I walked in and throughout my tour, staff were pleasant and engaging. Residents also were actively participating in recreation programs. One resident wanted to show me her apartment and talked to me about how nice the staff were and how they keep the apartments and entire community clean and well kept. I happen to be touring during the lunch time. The aroma of the food was appetizing and the food looked delicious. Residents were engaging at their tables and told me how good the food was. I was toured by the General Manager, [name removed]. She was knowledgeable and professional. You could tell by her interactions with the residents that they respect and appreciate her. I would recommend Cedar Woods to anyone looking for a compassionate environment and a quality life style for their loved one.

The management is 24 and 36. They need to understand senior's needs. The food is all frozen & processed. We need healthy fresh food not breaded & fried

We decided to explore senior living options for our mom because she was home alone and craving community and connection. Additionally, she no longer wanted the stress and financial burden of maintaining her home. We visited four communities along the shoreline and found that Cedar Woods was the clear-cut winner! The Community Sales Manager, [name removed], was fantastic. She welcomed us into the community, gave us a tour, and we were able to have lunch while observing the lively and engaging dining hour. The strong sense of community was apparent, and the beautiful apartments with full kitchens and balconies impressed us. All the residents who stopped to chat with us made us feel right at home. My mom knew this was the perfect place for her. She has been living there for a couple of months and is so happy! The staff has been great, and she has introduced me to [names removed]. The biggest issue my loved one has is the management and how you can't get answers from them about certain issues. It's hard to get someone on the phone. I have even tried to call the corporate office about some billing questions and it goes to a voicemail saying to leave a message and they will get back in 2 to 4 business days

My loved one is currently a resident at Holiday Cedar Woods and the overall experience has been very good so far. The cleanliness and friendliness are great. I would recommend Holiday Cedar Woods as a facility worthy of consideration for Senior Living.

My mom felt connected to some residents from Branford which is the reason she chose this facility. Everyone was so friendly and helpful. Thank you Cedar Woods for giving attention to my mom when she needed medical help. I only wish my mom was alive long enough to have enjoyed being there.

Management is terrible, especially the GM. There are so many complaints from the residents about how they don't care. The management team that was there prior was so much better. I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone until management changes.

Short staffed, not providing all the services they say they do. They keep firing and rehiring..also security very lacking. Several people had jewelry stolen this past month..

We picked this community, because my father liked it. Nice facility with nice residents. Management is questionable. I would recommend to others.
