Staff is very professional, courteous, and friendly. The interactions that I have observed between staff and residents is appropriately pleasant and familiar. Residents are greeted by name. The facility is clean brightly lit and decorated, numerous spacious common areas. My review is as a 3rd party. Atria is a beautiful facility with very positive and supportive workers. Events and activities are well planned. Overall, however, staffing levels are too low to support the ongoing needs of the facility and residents. There are times when staff in the dining hall are inundated and people can wait up to 25 minutes to be spoken to and have their order taken. Maintenance levels are so low and often unavailable. Cleaning services aren’t happening as often as described at time of contract signing. Based on the price, this shouldn’t be happening.

I think most places lie about what they can do, so I suppose the best option is to pick the cheapest place and hope it's not horrible. Before moving into the facility, they say they can do everything. Once there, they can't do any of what they said. They grossly misrepresent the activities. Selected this because it seemed decent and affordable for the long term. As soon as someone needs help, the costs start to ratchet up quickly and they do not consistently deliver the services being charged.

The friendliest of the staff and the affordability of Atria Larson Place stood out to me compared to other communities.

My loved one is currently a resident at Atria Larson Place. This facility has rapidly gone down hill. The support staff is rude and surly. They seem to be very short staffed. I would not recommend this facility to others.

My loved one is currently a resident at Atria Larson Place and we've been somewhat satisfied. The cleanliness, friendliness and staff are great. The care services and value for cost are good. The activities are okay. However, my loved one dislikes the food. If she was able, she could give the chef lessons on how to cook!

We would definitely recommend Atria Larson Place to others. The staff have been great. We tend to ask a lot of questions, so communication has been fine. Our questions have been answered and my Mom is enjoying the food. My mom is very happy and so are we!

Response from Atria Larson Place
July 12, 2023We're grateful to have you and your family part of the Atria family. We appreciate your kind compliments and will be sure share with our team.
The food is good, the activities are good and the aids are very nice
This was a pretty community. The area wasn't as familiar for my loved one. The value was good for us.
The management team has always been super nice to us. The staff are very good to work with. I would highly recommend the community to others for their loved ones. There is good privacy, and the family is able to bring our loved one's furniture with them. There is an extensive menu for the residents to choose from. The food is good for the most part. Entertainers, games, and more are some of the activities available for the residents to choose from.

We chose Atria Larson Place because it was affordable for my mother in law, they offered the best price out of the ones we found and it met our criteria. She had a studio so it was small but very nice and comfortable for her needs. Everyone was very friendly and easy to work with. Overall it was a good experience and I would absoltuely recommend them.

The community is like a 5-star hotel, everything is very nice and tastefully done. The halls are wide and carpeted. They have a very nice outdoor area for the residents. Communication is good between the staff and our family. I would recommend this community to others.

Our loved one recently complained that they did not give him enough food portions during meal time, but from our understanding that has now been fixed and he seems to be enjoying the meals.

We went with Atria Larson Place because of the activities, they always had something going on for the residents. it was also just generally the best, everyone was very friendly and after visiting a few others, my sister and I agreed this was the best fit for our mother. The best part about the community so far is that they have taken very good care of her and kept her very safe during everything that is going on. Overall, I would recommend the community.

We chose Atria Larson Place because we liked the memory care program the best. It is a locked, one floor unit, but residents were able to go to the other floors for activities. They have only had 1 case of the Coronovirus. They did really well with the pandemic. I would want others to know the staff and administrator are wonderful, they have gone above and beyond. They seem to really understand the residents and is are knowledgeable. The caregivers seem to be very caring. I feel comfortable having my sister here, she is very happy here and being well taken care of.

We liked the most because of the setting and building. The community was adequate and good in other ways. They may not have been able to provide all we were hoping. We hoped for more assistance with nursing staff, as it felt a little sparse. Some of the staff was friendly and others were not and it depended on the individual personalities.

A Place for Mom has scored Atria Larson Place 7.9 out of 10 using our proprietary review score.
We assign review scores to give a more reliable view into senior living communities and home care agencies. Our review scores prioritize reviews that are recent — the past 24 months — because we know families need current information when choosing senior care.
Those with many recent, positive reviews receive a high review score, while providers with few recent reviews — regardless of how positive — receive a lower review score. Communities with no recent reviews will not have a review score, even if older reviews are positive. The maximum A Place for Mom review score a community can receive is 10 points.
