I have been at the atrium for a few month and the staff is very kind, friendly and attentive. There is always lots to do and the meals are delicious. I toured the community a few months ago and was very skeptical about moving from my old house where I have lived for many years. The atrium is a great place for the residents, the staff is great and the improvements keep coming. The meal service we receive is always delicious and [name removed] the bus driver is always on time and friendly. I highly recommend the Atrium for anyone who is looking for an independent living community. They have a large pool and beautiful grounds for walking and even a garden.

[name removed] made our life change and transitions into community life so easy and amazing. Her tours covered everything we needed to know. Even amazing tips for the process. The move has been good for me, and my husband. We feel safe, and the amenities live up to the brochure. Our dog loves it here and there is room to park a camper van. It has met all our needs.

I am currently a resident at Holiday Atrium at Gainesville. This facility is in a very nice location and the staff is very friendly. The food is good, but service is slow sometimes. Overall, it is a quality facility. I would recommend Holiday Atrium at Gainesville to others.

In the last 6 months the place has taken a turn for the worse. The entire management staff quit within 4 weeks. The acting manager fired the entire serving staff and they haven't been replaced. At one point the cleaning ladies were serving food. It can take up to 2 hrs to get food. With the cleaning ladies serving they are unable to complete basics cleaning tasks. The food is over salted and over cooked. The acting manager tells residents to get out of her office when they go to talk to her. My loved one is afraid of her as are most who live there. I am cooking meals weekly for my loved one and taking them to her. She refuses to eat in the dining room due to a roach issue. They are working to fix that. Half of the washers and dryers are broken and the 3rd floor laundry room floods every day. I can go on and on.....this is just the top issues.

Response from Holiday Atrium at Gainesville
May 21, 2024Thank you for reaching out. The Regional Vice President is available to further discuss your concerns. Please email me at CustomerService@AtriaSeniorLiving.com if you would like to be put in touch.
The residents and staff are very friendly and welcoming. My 1 bedroom apartment is so roomy and with plenty of windows so I don’t feel shut in. There’s so many activities to choose from. My only negative is I’m not crazy about the food. But that’s on me, I’m a fussy eater. We get talking and I forget about it ! There’s always something I can eat.

Food sometimes very good, most of the time fair. Service good. I was hospitalized for an emergency but with couldn't be discharged over the weekend because Atria would not come to take me home. I had to stay the weekend even though the hospital wanted to discharge me. There are a lot of great people there.

It is a well-run facility where everything is to a schedule. For the people there, they seemed acclimated to it. For my wife and I, we were not ready for that lifestyle. We were setting up for my sister. We picked the Atrium in Gainesville because it was close to my son and his family.

I toured this community when we were looking for a place for my grandmother. The community is elegant, and the atmosphere is vibrant. The sales manager was very knowledgeable and answered all of my questions thoroughly. We didn’t have the chance to eat lunch, but the food looked great. I spoke with a resident, and the lady loved living at the Atrium.

THEY TRY TO ANSWER ALL OF YOUR QUESTIONS AND CONCERNS TO THE BEST OF THEIR ABILITY AND KNOWLEDGE. THERE ARE ALL KINDS OF PEOPLE. WHO LIVE HERE FROM ALL WALKS OF LIFE WHICH MAKES. CONVERSATIONS QUITE INTERESTING. THE ONE THING THAT. COULD BE BETTER IN MY ESTIMATION IS THE FOOD. IT IS NOT HORRIBLE BUT IT IS NOT GREAT EITHER. THERE IS DEFFINATELY. ROOM FOR IMPROVEMENT.

We had a great tour at The Atrium. I wished my mom could have gone there, but she had just enough memory problems that she wasn’t a good candidate for independent living. I liked that they were very honest with me about that, that it's not the place for loved ones who need medical assistance, help with prescriptions, etc. And they were priced accordingly. I also liked that it was an active community. Many people were still driving, and there were a lot of people up and about and coming and going.
circular nature of the building seems confusing for someone like my mother. staff standing around a lot. residents didnt seem as independent as stated in advertising. price seemed high for level of care possibly. nice pool and garden area

You don't get much, mainly just an apt. There is no assistance offered here. I would not recommend this community to others.

I have been extremely happy with the entire experience at the Atrium. The staff are all helpful and caring, and other residents have helped make my mom feel comfortable and welcome. My mother’s one bedroom apartment is roomy, clean, and bright. The efforts to celebrate the holidays were especially nice. I couldn’t be happier with the Atrium for my mom.

It was a wonderful independent living facility with clean, bright apartments and all the amenities a senior would ever need. My husband and I were quite impressed. However, seeing how independent their residents are, I believe my mother needs a more assisted living arrangement.
