We toured the small assisted living part of this very big facility housing rehabilitation, a large skilled nursing department & memory care. From the Human Resource Dept to the custodian polishing the floors, we were warmly greeted. A resident saw us in the halls & came out to tell us about the place & how she liked the staff & management. Her sincere smile was well received. We passed a courtyard & entered a clothed dining room with an attached activity room where several were playing on a brand new pool table donated by a sponsor. The room had a decorative tree with soft white lights. Soon the AL manager came to greet & treated us with a good taco salad in the dining area. We then were taken to a studio apartment as well as a two bedroom. Both rooms were in the process of being made ready for new residents. It was lunchtime so we witnessed staff tidying up the dining area, as well as others attending to residents. We plan to come back announced to see the whole facility.

When we walked in it was very dirty and it smelled bad. The person who gave us the tour was not friendly and we had to wait a long time. It was just not a good experience at all.
The staff and tour guides at Hilltop Park were very friendly and informative. The thing I did not like about this community was that it was too institutionalized. We were looking for something with a more homelike feel.
